A little gem!

The site is on a farm now given almost wholly over to livery. It is on a sloping field, but bricks etc. are available to help levelling and put under corner steadies. There is a lovely welcome on arrival from the owner who cuts the grass regularly and sees that the bins and recycling box are emptied frequently. The site has electric hook ups and a toilet with wash basin (cold water only). This was always clean with soap, towel and toilet paper provided. While we never found it to be a problem, access to the site is via about 1/2 mile of narrow lanes from the A4175. Bitton station on the Avon Valley Railway is about 10 mins walk away. This is also on the Bristol - Bath cycleway and has a nice café which is open even when the railway isn't running. There are also buses to both Bristol and Bath from the main road and Dyrham Park (NT) is only a short drive away. Though it's so close to Bristol, the site has a pleasant, rural outlook and feels to be a haven of peace.

Peace and quiet in a great location

Well drained sloping site (despite recent dreadful weather). Peaceful spot amid horse fields. Footpaths leading straight from site field made dog walking a safe and easy joy. Easy walks along footpaths and over stiles to Mace store and pubs. Friendly helpful owners. Lots of good walks nearby along the river Avon. Well placed beytween Bristol and Bath for easy access to visit. Electric points, good TV reception, and a very clean toilet in stable yard. Our only problem was badgers or foxes getting into the awning at night and pulling over the swing bin!
