A wonderful five day stay.
What a piece of good luck finding this great site. Booked for three nights without seeing any reviews and have been blessed with one of the loveliest sites we have stayed on. The peacefulness of the site has ensured that our sleep has been unbroken. It is well placed for visiting this lovely part of Essex and South Suffolk, that so inspired John Constable. Having travelled up from Cornwall it is unlikely that we will be back this way any time but we can highly recommend this site to anyone who enjoys nature in all its splendour (it is May and the birdsong and blossom are both stunning) and to enjoy Constable country. We have ended up staying five nights and to be honest were loathe to leave. Owner was welcoming and helpful.
Nearby town of Dedham is delightful and offers museum, arts and craft centre, pubs, tearooms, pharmacy and a Co-op for all essentials including cash machine. Coffee at the Kitchen on the river just outside with riverside walking is a must.
