This was my first ever cl and we couldn't have picked a better place. (since used two others)
Arriving late Friday evening as arranged, access to the site and pitch was very easy. We were on the far corner hardstanding, having been given the choice of that or near the entrance.
As previously mentioned taps are at each pitch so setting up couldn't have been easier. CDP is onsite behind the grass pitches, as are waste bins. Still not sure where grey water is supposed to go but followed other campers by disposing of in hedge bottom.
A bit of nostalgia for me as I was raised a few miles away. Same wonderful views I had as a child only from a different angle (No bias from me. No siree bob)
Love the village life as there was a village fete on the Saturday and charity Car Boot sale on the Sunday, both situated around the brilliant local public house.
Plenty of lanes and footpaths for me and the dog to explore, or just have a walk around the village green.
We have since tried to book another weekend away only to find both Crich Lane sites full, but we will not be put off, we will be returning soon.
Not so small
Well laid out site belies its size. Three hardstandings and two grass. Water at each stand. Picnic tables. South facing. Freeview good. Easy access from M1. Only the grass stands have space for an awning or leave the car elsewhere. If an awning is a must suggest Crich Farm's other CL. Chippy in village and a Tesco store 4 miles in Alfreton or Sainsburys at Matlock 6 miles. Well recommended site.
helpfull
Very friendly helpfull couple, busy people as they have a B&B on site, and farm but always happy to stop and chat and advise on local area etc. On various occasions if the B&B was not full the owners have been happy to provide us with a full english breakfast at reasonable cost (makes a change from cooking in the caravan) and it was spot on. Rural area so quiet but several pubs wich do food within a walking distance.
