Gambolling with the lambs

We arrived during a very busy lambing season at the farm, and we were delighted to see the new arrivals taken into the field at the bottom of this very scenic site. With Mary Queen of Scots prison Wingfield Manor opposite, you couldn't pick a more lovely location for a spring break. The busy town of Alfreton is only 10 minutes away, Matlock and Matlock Bath 20, and Chatsworth less than 30. There is plenty to do, and keen walkers can easily walk the 5-6 miles into Crich and the Tramway Museum. There is a smashing pub in easy walking distance, another down a single track road. However, locals tend to drive pretty quickly and you need to keep well in to avoid said drivers. There's a fish and chip shop in the village of Wessington, we didn't try them but other caravanners said it was very good. This CL is well deserving of its 5*, I'll definitely be back, if only to try the chippie.
