Short stay

We have just returned from our stay at Courtbrook Farm, the first impression on arrival was good a lovely level field kept in prestine condition. Yes there was traffic noise but we did not find this unbearable; surprisingly as the field had ample high hedges the cross wind was quite fierce at times. One thing we thought the site would have benefited from would have been a box telling us where to catch buses and public walks etc. Would not hesitate to use this site again.

Just what you need from a CL with lovely views.

We had a lovely 5 nights here. Communication was good before arrival and instructions were clear. The owner came to say hello on the day we arrived (you pay beforehand so no cash etc to handover) and was really cheerful and friendly (and obviously a hard working farmer as he was always on the go!) The site is mostly flat, we just had to lift one wheel on the caravan a little and that could be because we managed to find the only dip in the whole field ;0). No ground sheets allowed in awnings, we have a little porch awning and just lifted the mats when we went out each day. You can walk through the village and cut across the field (public footpath) to a crossing and walk to the pub - its crossing a main road but there is an island and its just before a roundabout so no trouble at all and there's also a farm shop a little further down that road. We were visiting relative in Buddleigh Salterton and the access out of the site to get to there/Sidmouth/Exmouth etc was great as the location is on main road. With that in mind, you can hear the main road but it really isn't an issue at all, didn't bother us in the slightest. Happy camping!

Excellent overnight stop

Easy to find off the main road and conveniently situated close to the M5 this is an ideal overnight stop when traveling to Cornwall or South Devon. Level field with short grass. EHU water and chemical waste available. The owner was very friendly and came to check everything was okay. Would definitely stay again.

Week end away

Just spent a weekend Courtbrook Farm CL, site owner called and made sure we were settled and aware of local points of interest gave us a few tips for starting our cycle ride. Very well kept site perfect for pitching up flat no need for any levelling blocks. Well worth a visit will call in again.

Excellent Site

Second time at this clean level site. There is a little bit of road noise but nothing to worry us about and it quietens down at night. The field is well mown with the clippings collected. Well maintained water and disposal facilities also recycling in easy to identify coloured bins. Good access to local towns and places of interest. If you've got deep pockets a visit to Darts Farm Shop is interesting. The site is only a couple of miles off of the M5 so very convenient for a stop over. All in all thoroughly recommended.

Well worth a visit

The site is well located just a couple of miles from the M5. We received a warm welcome from the owner on arrival. The access is easy and the site is also easy to find and is just off the dual carriageway. It is well kept and spacious with pitches not too close together and has lovely country views. As mentioned by the previous review the road is quite close and is busy at peak times. Although there is some road noise it didn't bother us and we intend to visit this site again. Overall it is a really nice site and well worth a visit.

Nice site

Very well presented site. Nice and tidy with cut grass and nice surroundings. Ideal for a stop over if travelling on to Cornwall as only a couple of miles from M5. Only slight negative is that the site is only a few hundred yards from A376 so constant traffic noise but you get use to it after a while and noise drops at night due to traffic volume. Will definitely use the site again for a stopover when travelling on to Cornwall.
