Great walk

We enjoyed our stay here. A bit of road noise but quiet at night. EHU points are sited so that all vans stay to the fenced edges, we got a nice spot under fruit trees. This means no one gets the actual view in the photo, but you can see the estuary from the site . A brilliant walk from the site down to the estuary (about a mile), then you can walk along the edge of the Stour, lots of wildfowl to see. We appreciated the loo that was available to us, shared with businesses on the business park and always clean. A good place to take day trips from, we went to Landguard Fort which was very interesting as was the nature reserve next to it. Mrs Williams was welcoming and friendly, happy to provide local information. Thanks to her.

A great site for the price, will be staying again

As we are watching our pennies we booked this site. Turned out nicer than sites we have paid more than double for. We used it as a coastal walking base and the coast was less than a mile away. Owner very welcoming. Site is just on the side of a rural industrial site, the word industrial brings up visions of faceless buildings but these were fairly charming brick and wood construction. We were there on a weekend and only the beauty parlour salon seemed to be open on the Saturday so was still fairly tranquil. We liked it so much we will be booking next weekend

Excellent CL

Excellent CL. Very pleasant pitches. Lovely views and walks. Tranquil. Great pub (The Brantham Bull) serving food, next door. Worth putting roots down for a few days or longer.

Quiet, relaxing and great for dogs

Spacious site with easy electric hook up and great facilities for toilet emptying, water filling etc. We didn't need the toilets but all looked good. Nicely situated very close to The Bull at Brantham which has excellent Adnams beers and superb food. The owner visits and is very friendly and helpful. Dogs have to be kept on leads which is fair enough and there are lovely walks straight onto footpaths from the site. We met some other lovely people on the site but you are also nicely spaced apart, so plenty of privacy. We did hear of some problems with previous customers but it was good to hear that the owner dealt with this promptly and firmly - what more can you ask, can happen anywhere! We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay and will definitely be looking to return again this year.

Lovely stay

We had a lovely few nights in this site. The view over the water is great, and there is a fabulous walk from the site down to the water. Also Alton Water is not far, and we had a great cycle round it. There are lots of places of interest and good walks around this beautiful area. The owner was very helpful and friendly and we had no issues. Everything was easily accessible and easy to use and there was plenty of space for everybody.

A nice CL

Stayed here for 4 nights Mid November the weather was mild and the grass was just about OK for our Motorhome. We used Slip mats just in case . Met the owner who was very friendly. They have a new Elson point whish is a great improvement. Clean well kept loos . We would recommend this CL .

Lovely site for relaxing stay

Lovely site set in a rural location. Plenty of space and electrical hook up all in good condition. Water supply close by but toilet emptying is a short walk away, with the manhole lift from ground level (could be better). Plenty of lovely walks from the site and ideal for dog owners. Site owner was friendly and visited/chatted the day after our arrival. The pub next door (The Bull) was fantastic - great staff, great beers and superb food. TV reception was excellent for us, with strong green signal from two directions. We'll definitely be back.

Good CL Site and Location

A well looked after site Caroline gave us a warm welcome, Great view over the River Stour from the Site. Pub close by and Alton Water 2 miles down the road, you can cycle there but watch out for the big hill, but once you get there lovely place to visit. We'll certainly be back here.

Lovely site, very friendly and helpful owner.

This site is in a lovely, scenic location with access to great walks which our dog (and us) much appreciated. We are a family of four, including two young boys and we were all made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We unfortunately had some problems with the exterior lights on our caravan as we went to hitch up on the final day of our break. The owner was understanding and allowed us to leave the caravan on site for another day whilst we sorted out the problem. We are very appreciative of the owner, who made a difficult situation easier to deal with. Thank you. We look forward to returning next summer.

Good CL with a loverly view

Very nice CL with a good view. We stayed hear so we could visit Alton Waters which was a short ride away. The site was a flat field we did not use the toilets as we had our own facilities. The owner was very welcoming from the point of booking and came to the site shortly after we arrived to ensure that every thing was ok.We had two dogs and there are good walks from the site.I will visit again.
