A Well kept Classic CL for those like Basics & VFM

We stayed at this CL for 4 nights in May 2014. Ease of arrival was very good with access off the M4 there are no narrow roads to worry about. We were warmly  welcomed by the owner. The site is extremely well kept with the grass cuttings collected giving a lawn like surface. Full recycling bins here and the owner empties them on a daily basis and even washes the bins out too. No electric hook up here but we look for sites without electric being solar and gas powered. There is a little distant traffic noise from the M4 when the wind is blowing from that direction but it is distant and did not concern us at all. I would certainly stay here again and at just £5 PN (May 2014) it is good VFM and for those who like to cycle its on a cycle route too. Well recommended !

Good place for a stop over

The site is on a level field with views of the surrounding country side, when you arrive make sure you use the second entrance and not the drive. Although this site has no EHU it is clean and well kept, and the owners wecoming and friendly. If you don't fancy cooking there is a pub and a cafe within walking distance, haven't used either so unfortunately no comments. Bath, Bristol and Chipping Sodbury are within easy driving distance as is the National Trust property Dyrham Park and House. If this site had EHU I would be willing to pay the going rate and would use it for longer stays, as it is I have it logged as an over night stop as it is close to the M4 junction 18
