A Little Taste of Paradise

We have just spent 3 nights at this lovely site & thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes - there are a couple of steep pitches but also 3 on the level at the lower end of the field. The very top pitch has been levelled out & has fabulous views. We chose the next pitch down & used levelling blocks which wasn't a problem. We had lovely views over the countryside. The grass was short & the facilities were all fabulous. Very friendly family & Tina let me have a bottle of milk on our arrival as we hadn't had chance to pick one up on the way. Highly recommended & would definitely return.

Nice site but very steep in places

Nice pleasant and clean site. The main problem is the steepness of the site. The three positions at the bottom of the field were fine, but the top two were very steep. A motorhome wouldn't be able to level near the top. Other than that it is a nice site and owners were very friendly and helpful.

Get away from it all.

This site is stunning. Well kept and tidy, lovely views, quiet, off the beaten track - but not too far off. The owners were friendly and welcoming and lots of things to do and see nearby. For us, though, the site is spoiled by being very steep in places making levelling extremely difficult on some pitches and this is the reason I can only give 4 stars overall and for arrival. Of the 5 pitches, 1 to 3 along the bottom hedge range from flat to pretty level, whilst 4 and 5 vary from difficult to near impossible at the top of the field. A great shame especially as the best views are from the top. We would worry about returning to Collaton Farm because we may not be able to get one of the level pitches. Of course, it may be possible to ask for a particular pitch to be reserved for us but this could be unfair on others.

Wonderful site

We stayed on this site last year and have been meaning to review it before now! It's an absolutey lovely site. Lovely views and very quiet. We pitched on a fairly level spot at the bottom of the field with a small country road on the other side of the hedge, which has some vehicles going along but not much at all and seems to coincide with people from the nearby small hamlet probably going to work first thing and then returning home again later on but nothing to disturb you. Very handy for visiting somewhere different each day, with plenty of attractions close by. Owner Andrew was very welcoming and the tourist information pack he gave us was a nice touch. Will definately go again.

A wonderfull peaceful site

We had a wonderful stay here, great walks from the site in beautiful countryside. Once the site is levelled as the owner said was on his list to improve the CL it will be a brilliant place to stay for several weeks. Thank you Andrew for making us so welcome, we look forward to a revisit.......It would be nice if you could create a web site so we could follow the development as it progresses......

Wonderful!

Position of this site is wonderful! views indeed stunning but you need to be confident at levelling to take the best advantage of them. Well worth it though! It is exactly as described perfect for a quiet, peaceful, get away from it all break to walk, bird watch or just enjoy the views. Dartmouth is a very short drive away with everything you could possibly need including a very new Sainsburys and an excellent M&S food. There are also plenty of other attractions within a short distance if that is your thing. The owner and his family were friendly and helpful and I believe has plans to level the site. If you do that you will have a waiting list but we would go back whatever!

Beautiful site

This is a site with the most breath-taking views. Tranquil and quiet, yet convenient for places of interest, particularly Dartmouth only a few minutes away.
