We chose this site for its location for visiting friends in the area and we were not disappointed. Booking and payment were easy and all done before we arrived. The site was easy to find. It is a good sized paddock, the grass pitches are very well kept and the recycling, bins and waste water area is very neat and tidy and frequently emptied. There is a little information point with lots of details about the area. You can also order a Cornish cream tea, we didn’t use this service but a nice option. There is a little road noise during the day as the gate to the site is off a small road however it is very quiet at night, last night we went to sleep to the sound of owls having a nice chat to one another.. There are lots of transport options , if like us you don’t want to take your motorhome off site. A bit of a steep hill out on foot but then options for buses, ferry to Plymouth or train. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Needed an overnight stop after arriving late from the Roscoff ferry. Emily was very helpful and happy to have us so late in the day. Finding the site and access was easy, particularly with the directions Emily provided.
Lovely little CL site, very tidy. Would be perfect for a longer stop with easy access to Plymouth and surrounding area. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer.
Would definitely recommend
We had the pleasure of staying at Cockles farm during the Easter break. We highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a peaceful , tranquil site with spectacular view . It’s convenient location adjacent to amazing leisure complex golf course and just a short walk from Saltash centre.
There are only 5 pitches and hook ups, very tidy and secure. Staff is very friendly and would definitely rebook .
We stayed for 7 nights at this CL and we found it to be fabulous. Plenty of room for five units with marked pitches but enough room to pitch in any direction. Slightly sloping pitches but nothing problematic. Facilities kept immaculate and owners very friendly and helpful with lots of information provided on site and on webpage. Great to be able to walk to Salt Mill just at bottom of hill to exercise both our dog and me and then only a short further walk to he Waterfront area and up into the town. Regular buses from the town and regular trains to London / Penzance. Again a short walk, 20 minutes, to Waitrose / Lidl.
There was some slight road noise from the A38 but nothing intrusive and within a day I couldn't hear it!
Lots to do nearby, open air theatre at Pentillie Castle, Looe Valley Vineyard tours, sea swimming and many beaches such as Seaton, Malllendreth, Looe etc plus all the attractions of Plymouth on the doorstep.
The beautiful weather certainly helped us enjoy our stay but it would have been great in any weather.
Many thanks to Emily and James.
We stayed for 2 nights, visiting family who live close by. The site was easy to find & not far from the Tamar bridge. Despite easy accessibility the site was beautifully peaceful. A slight sound of traffic in the distance but nothing to disturb our time. Clean & pretty field, very organised with water, toilet disposal, bins & recycling all well placed but not imposing. Cute info area that fitted into the surroundings. Spacious pitch with hook up. We had a stroll with the dog to the park just down the hill, OH had a run whilst I strolled around enjoying views of the river. Can highly recommend a trip to The Bookshelf in Saltash - tasty food, a warm welcome, takeaway savoury afternoon tea and books to buy! What more could you want. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

We stayed for two nights as wanted easy access to a friend in Plymouth.
Facilities were advertised and cleaned twice a day due to Coronavirus outbreak.
Good directions given, easy access and secure site on a very slight slope. There was a sound from the nearby A38, but not enough to disturb.
Great communication with owners and online payment available.
I will certainly be back.
