A big meadow near Canterbury.

One acre of flat grass meadow located on the western outskirts of Canterbury, and is a basic tap in the corner, hole in the ground sort of CL. The grass is a bit long and tussocky. Situated beside a railway line in a cutting, but the train noise is not intrusive. Access to the site is along a narrow lane with high hedges and the entrance is a bit tight. If you miss it you'll have to go further down the road to the C&CC site down the road to turn. There is plenty of room (there were seven vans at one point during our visit.) Horse stabling in adjacent field share the same entrance gate. A walk / bridleway into the city takes approx an hour. Do not try to locate this site with a sat nav.

Comment from Community staff:

We’re delighted that you had a pleasant stay at this site and thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I just wanted to add a quick comment to advise that I have been in touch with the CL owners and they would like to comment on the condition of the grass on site. They have advised that it was a very wet late summer in 2012 and it was very difficult to mow all of the grass in between the heavy rain. Normally, this is a well mown site. I hope this helps clarify any concerns you may have and again thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
