COULD BE TOP NOTCH WITH A LITTLE TLC

Visited this site for a weekend 27 June - 29 June 2014. The site is situated in beautiful peaceful Lancashire countryside, behind a farm.  These sites are what we like to choose for their peace and quiet, and that is certainly what we got. On arrival there was no meet & greet, there were no signs on where to book in, or where the facilities were located.  We soon found an overgrown footpath leading to the farmhouse door.  On asking, I was rudely advised that I had knocked on the wrong door - 'well sorry but there were no signs was my reply'!  However, the lady told me to pitch anywhere and next time to go to the opposite end of the building and knock on their door as they run the CL. No problem was my reply! The site is a little unkempt and with a little TLC would be a first class CL.  The owners are in the process of erecting a new toilet and shower block and will replace the existing.  The existing facilities are adequate but again old & tired. To sum up, just cut back a lot of the undergrowth have more signs directing visitors to the facilities and you will have people visiting in droves.  Would I visit again?  Yes, if only for the peace and tranquility. PS.  There is a pub 300 yards down the lane (winner)!!  And the farm sells fresh eggs, milk etc.
