Access to this site is via a little used narrow lane with several sharp bends, single track with passing places (big enough for passing a car or van). The CL itself is a field through an open gateway just above the clubhouse and is shared with a small driving range, so it's sensible to pitch round the perimeter. Grass length was acceptable (does the field get grazed maybe, rather than cut ?). Water is from a standpipe on the clubhouse wall, and chemical disposal at the bottom of the pitching field. Levelling blocks needed.
It is a peaceful and tranquil site with good views of the surrounding countryside. Birdsong and grazing sheep were the only perceptible noises.
Clubhouse facilities include constant access to toilets and showers, all well used but clean. Good value hot food was available in the clubhouse, of a good quality and freshly cooked. Club staff were friendly and welcoming, the golfing footfall being quite low key during our stay. The bonus of fine dry weather most of the time made the stay very enjoyable.
Had a brief one night stop here - met by Roger who was very welcoming and sorted out a nice spot for us. Good food at the club and a quiet spot after 9 - nice for a short stayin beautiful surroundings.
Motorhome owners. Stayed 2 nights in August very quiet only 1 other person staying on the CL.
The area of the CL is the Bottom of the Golf Clubs practice ground. We were met and advised where to park by the friendly staff. Food in the club house was exellent and very welcome after playing golf on the 9 hole golf course. Recomended if you are a golfer.
