Far from the madding crowd

A tranquil night's stay, escaping the crowds on a bank hol's weekend. So wonderful not to hear traffic, just the hoot of an owl and train in the distance. Laura was very welcoming, lots of thoughtful touches on the site. Went to nearby Kentchurch Hall gardens, keeping with the 'away from it all' theme. (See what you mean about the toilets now!!) Thanks again for having us Laura, hope to be back soon! Karen Paul and Marley x

Most welcoming owner ever.

Laura could not have been more accommodating. We had a leak so no running water and she let us use the sink in their porch! Also came to wave us goodbye and ask if everything was ok. The views are outstanding. The fields have become very boggy due to the weather but there are plenty of walks to be had around the quiet lanes. We will definitely return.

Peaceful Beauty

This site has amazing views, 3 level hardstanding and one slightly sloping grass pitch. Shower/loo is very clean. Host very welcoming and of course a cider shop/ bar in the latter part of the week. Only thing I can't understand as why we are the only van here. The pre-pay/order breakfasts available on the website are also excellent with lots of homemade goodies. This is everything a CL should be and more. Oh, Did I mention Ewys Harold within 20 minutes walk with two pubs serving food, a village store, two butchers, fish and chip shop and more. Or Pontrilas with a takeaway. Lovely footpaths heading off in every direction and dog friendly. This site deserves more visits or maybe I should just keep it a secret for us?

Beautiful & Peaceful

Laura gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. The Pitch is hardstanding and is level. A very peaceful site. The views are absolutely amazing. The Cider Bar on site is worth a visit and Alex is very welcoming too and very knowledgable regarding the Cider process. We stayed in our Motorhome with the dogs and walked from the site each day. They sell a small OS Map which we used for our walks, but Laura was very knowledgable on the walks too and gave us some good advice. Laura and Alex are a lovely friendly couple and even though they have busy lives with children and the Cider Bar they are very accommodating and approachable. Good luck Laura with the upcoming new arrival and continue with all your good and hard work, it was very much appreciated. We will be back.

Excellent Cider and views!

We decided not to travel too far from Bristol for Coronation Weekend, we know the area quite well as we're keen cyclists. I picked Cider Farm as reasonably priced (we don't need or want to pay for ehu) and the view looked great, especially as the forecast wasn't great it was quite reassuring to be on hard standing. Pitch 3 had the best view (as long as no-one on the grass pitch). Only one other van on a BH weekend! Oh and the cider may have swayed me, it was excellent. Having a shower too was perfect after bike rides, lots of space, plenty hot water and very clean! We had no problems at all maneuvering our 7m Ford Transit camper van in/out, no faffing trying to find a level spot either. Easy to get to many different places, flat and hilly bike rides/walks. We were visiting family in Leominster on Saturday and enjoyed a pint of Ty Gwyn Cider at the bar on our return. We cycled up Gospel Pass on Sunday and down to Hay on Wye (the dry day). Monday we lunched in Abergavenny. We only scratched the surface and will definitely return. Lovely welcome by Alex too. Thank you Laura and Alex.

The first guests

We arrived in pouring rain and it was dark. Laura came out to meet us what a wonderful reception, The site is a little bit quirky and parking the van needs a little experience. The site is very compact with water, waste, recycling, and waste water/ chemical emptying all very convenient. The views are magnificent. The site is very quiet with the occasional train in the distance. The locality has a fish and chip shop that was so busy had to go back after half an hour. The Temple Bar Inn in the village did a super meal and allowed the dog with a really friendly atmosphere. We wish Laura and Alex every success with their site.
