Small but perfectly formed

Just spent two nights at Church Farm, friendly owners, incl their dog! Very peaceful site with ehu & water on each pitch & waste facilities nearby for £12.50 per night so good value. Several walks from the site including to the local pub, The Chequers. Friendly landlord, well kept beer & good food. If you're looking for a Michelin 5 restaurant then it's not for you but if you just want decent pub grub, & plenty of it, then it's a must. Only 10 mins from Framlingham & it's castle. Half hour drive to coast. If your into history then Orford Castle is a must, & in our opinion better than Framlingham. Loved Aldeburgh which isn't far from Orford. For those in motorhomes then all three places have car parks that can accommodate although not the actual castle car park in Orford.

Quiet and Restfull

Easy access, welcomed by very pleasant & helpful owners, don't be misled by the photo of the caravans, there is plenty of room between pitches. As other reviews have covered most points all I can say is this is a CL not to be missed, it is so quiet and peaceful, all you can hear is the birds singing. The local pub The Chequers is well worth a visit, good food, pleasantly priced and lots of it.

Lovely CL

Lovely location close to Framlingham. Very friendly and welcoming owner. Lots of dog walks nearby and an unusual local pub. Looks a little bit scruffy but very friendly staff and good pub grub. It was a lot busier than I expected for a very rural pub. We will definitely visit again.

Pleasant site

We spent 2 nights here while touring Suffolk. It is a well cared for site, and very quiet. There are plenty of dog walking opportunities , our favourite being the one to the Chequers at Kettleburgh! It would have been very busy just after we left as they were holding the annual "auto jumble" there. Don't make the mistake we made and use Sat Nav using the above post code. Use the different postcode that the Baters give you or follow the Caravan Club directions.

A Restful few days

A quiet site with nice views across the Deben valley .. the camping area is fenced of so the Geese that have free run of the farm don't come around your caravans .. they are really well behaved Geese and our dogs just ignored them .. The EP were well maintained and each pitch had it's own water tap .. There is a multitude of footpaths leading from the site .. so walking the dog is a pleasure .. the only downside being the dog waste bins are all on the village green .. they could do with one at least in the village .. maybe by the pub ..

The Chequers pub was a quick stroll from the site and is dog friendly .. dogs got biscuit treats each night we went in .. There are no shops in the village in fact in none of the villages in the immediate vicinity .. So make sure you have what you need to make a cuppa with you

There are waste facilities but they are someway from the site it's self .. so would recommend taking a trolley if your cassette does not have wheels .. there are also recycling facilities.

All in all we spent an enjoyable 3 nights and will definitely being visiting again in the future

Perfect!

We spent 2 lovely weeks on this beautiful CL in June/July. The setting is delightful with the church just behind you, uninterrupted views in front of you and as good as a serviced pitch. Our first visit to Suffolk we found ourselves well situated for places to visit. There are numerous walks from the site and essential shops a very short drive away. Mr & Mrs Bater made us very welcome and we would certainly not hesitate to go back.

Wonderful CL

We thoroughly endorse previous positive reviews. We were there for two weeks in June/July and found plenty to do as well as sitting in the sun enjoying the view. We enjoyed the bell ringing, both practice and for a wedding. Appreciated being able to walk from site - 3 pubs within reach. Cretingham golf course a few minutes away in the car, as is the coop in Framlingham. On a practical note, we needed more hose than the length supplied with the mains kit to reach the tap from our van - easily remedied with trip to local DIY store.

Excellent CL

An excellent, well managed site with fine views over Deben valley. Helpful owners. Small but more than adequate well mown area for 5 vans all with unimpeded views. Well serviced with convenient power and water to all pitches. Good walking/cycling country. We had a very enjoyable stay here. Thank you! P.S. Follow the CC book's instructions carefully and you'll be OK, but don't trust your satnav on this one or you'll get some unwanted reversing practice!!

Peace and tranquility (Apart from bell ringing practice night)

Stayed here Aug 2011. What a gem of a site . Water and electric on pitch. Efficient owners. All grass but seemed well drained. Ancient church beside site and numerous footpaths to explore. Setting sun casting a glow over a flock (or is it a gaggle?) of geese making their way home . We thought we were part of the picture on a box of chocolates ! Wonderful memories. In truth the bell ringing was quite interesting and finished early enough.

Short summer break

We had a great time at Church Farm,Mr & Mrs Bater were so busy with B&Bs and Harvesting but still had time to show us around and get us booked in. While I was fishing in the moat my wife could sit back and relax with her book. We were impressed with the electric hookup and water at each pitch. Would rate this site at 8 out of 10 and would love to stay again. Thankyou both from Mr A & Mrs B Miles , Peasanhall.
