Absolutely magnificent view from this site. Yes you do need levelling blocks – but there are plenty on site for you to use. Extremely well laid out facilities, good well cared for pitches, water and EHU near the pitches. We stayed for a week in September 2014, the weather was beautiful so I admit we had a slightly idealised view of the site. The site was peaceful and relaxed, numerous walks immediately from the site (our dogs loved it), and lots of wildlife – red kites were abundant and we saw badgers and owls. Lovely soay sheep in the field next to the site. The only negative we would say is that there is some noise from the motorway – but then we chose a site right next to the motorway for convenience. Once in the van we didn’t notice it and it didn’t affect our enjoyment of the site (we are pretty noise phobic – so its not something to worry about) Located just off the M40 we travelled into London and down to Windsor, Marlow and Henley. Beautiful local villages and countryside. We chose the site for convenience when seeing family but it the perfect spot for a family holiday. Very thoughtful and pleasant hosts – love the site leaflet they give you on arrival it has lots of practical information and answers all the questions we tend to have when staying on a CL. Do take note of their advice re arriving and departing the entrance is straightforward but you don’t want to meet a caravan going in the other direction.
