We stayed at Cholsey Grange for five nights in early August 2014.  This was our second visit to this excellent site and we were welcomed like old friends by Ted and Jackie.  Since our last stay Ted has moved the water taps so they are even easier to access (I did not find it a problem previously but gather others did).   Ted and Jackie provide an information pack and they are always ready to helpfully pass on their local knowledge.   The site benefits from stunning views and there are walks direct from the site that take you in all directions.  The walking in this area is varied and there is always something interesting to see around the corner.  A very dog friendly site. The local pub ‘The Fox’ is only a few minutes walk away and is well maintained serving good ale with the added bonus of free wifi and it is dog friendly. We did not eat there so cannot comment on the quality of the food.
