Perfectly placed
Arrived at the end of June 2017, having been emailed our pitch position by Ami despite the fact she was about to give birth! Dedication! This showed in the way the site is well kept and in the amount of information in the small shed with each pitch having a folder of local attractions and places to find. There are no toilets on site but a well maintained water, waste and chemical disposal point, discreetly tucked away at the entrance to the site. Tall trees to the west, high hedgerow around gave this place a sheltered yet sunny spot. No rules as to how the van was sited either!. We spent a week here ad loved it! Ami, despite giving birth two days before we arrived, visited us twice, once with her new born even and even apologised for not being around for the day we would be leaving. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are a credit to the CL network. Loads of space between units, well away from any roads and only occasional farm traffic to bother us. Each evening we had a wondrous show of hundreds and hundreds of rooks flying back to nest, a truly awe inspiring sight. If your looking for a base to discover Northumbria's castles and coast line this is the one for you.
One word of warning though, if you are coming from the south do not use the sat nav onto the A697, drive up the A1 past the Bamburgh turn off until you see the sign for Chatton on the left after the filling station, signed B6348. If you go the A697 you will end up down narrow roads, and over a ford and hump backed bridge .... very scary!
