We stayed for 2 weeks in June 2017. The site is lovely and beautifully kept. There is an adjoining wood belonging to the site owners which was open to site users, perfect for our dog. I think this was the most peaceful site I have ever stayed on. There are some amazing walks nearby and a short drive takes you into the Cheviot mountains. Alnwick and Berwick are within a few miles and we also visited Lindisfarne on a couple of days, beautiful! There are no toilet or washing facilities on site but this is reflected in the price so who cares? We are planning to return to Northumbria in Sept this year but as we would like to explore a different part of the National park we won't be staying at Chillingham. However..I cannot recommend this site highly enough, we were made to feel so welcome but at the same time left in peace to relax.
