Lovely site in an amazing part of the country
We stayed on this site for 8 nights in July/August 2024. The site is flat, spacious and very well laid out. There is a shed in the corner of the site with loads of information leaflets for the surrounding area and jams and chutneys for sale made by the owners mother. The rhubarb and ginger jam is delightful. The only negative is there is noise from farm machinery, but hey what can you expect it is a working farm.
We used the site as a base to visit Alnwick, Morpeth, Craster and Bamburgh to name a few, all delightful towns. We went to Morpeth on market day and spent a long time browsing the market [which isn't huge but has craft stalls and local food stalls] and the shops, a good mix of local and chains. Such a change from some areas of the country where the towns are looking really run down, these towns are lovely. We also visited Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle. Will definitely be returning at some point in the future.
