Holiday at Cherry Cottage CL
We spent a week at Cherry Cottage at the end of June. Before our arrival Lynn, the owner, sent comprehensive information about the site, facilities, and the best route to approach with a caravan on tow.
The site is very well maintained, and all facilities are immaculate, with everything we needed for our holiday. We had a grass pitch with EHU and our own tap and, because of the dry weather (we were lucky), we were advised to drain grey water into the hedge using the filter provided. The only potential issue, and I don’t recall seeing anything about this in the information, is that green fluid is required for the toilet. Fortunately we’d already changed our supply to green so we were OK. The site wifi was very useful too as our phone signals were variable.
Lynn was around at some point every day to check that all was well. I enjoyed chatting with her, and she had a wealth of information on places to visit.
We visited Abbotsbury Swannery and sub tropical gardens, Weymouth, Sherborne abbey, Sherborne castle, and Minterne gardens and had some peaceful, relaxing time on site in between. We had dinner at the Hunter’s Moon early in the week and enjoyed the food so much that we returned on another evening. We also got eggs from the farm next door which were lovely. I bought some to bring home.
We had a lovely week at Cherry Cottage and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
