Peace but lots to do.

Lovely quiet little campsite. Everything you need and a friendly welcome. Heaps to do in the area and some great walks along the Kennet and Avon Canal. Research the buses from Devizes and Upavon and use those bus passes to get to Swindon, Bath, Salisbury etc. We will be back.

Peaceful site in lovely countryside

Spent 5 nights here over the Easter weekend and have never had a better welcome and friendliness and help from the owners. The site is simple, but well maintained with electric hookups, taps, toilet and rubbish disposal etc. and lots of local information, maps etc. in the little hut. It was easy to find and well located to get to the nearby places of interest. It was very tranquil and peaceful with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Lots of pheasants about plus woodpeckers and the sound of owls at night among other bird sounds, the copse adjoining the site had white violets and daffodils growing, very pretty. We hope to be able to come again.

Walks from the 'doorstep'

A perfect site for us, very pretty and quiet countryside. Very good walks from the door. Lovely owners. A simple yet very well looked after with electric hookup and useful information booth with local maps and pub ideas! Will definitely visit again.

Great Site

What a really pleasant site.  Access is down a narrow lane through the hamlet of Charlton St Peter.  The pitches are well spaced out with two water taps set between the pitches.  An almost level site with excellent views across open country. Friendly welcome and owner about for advice and chat.  Easy access to places of interest and to local pubs where excellent food served.  The only noise was the odd helicopter and the wonderful screech of owls at night.

So friendly

Used this CL as a stop over to visit Stonehenge whilst heading further west. Lovely expanse of field for kids to play in, very dog friendly but also very peaceful and quiet. Very friendly booking process followed by a really warm welcome from the owners who took time to chat with us, ensure all was well and give any information needed.

Beautiful

Wonderful views, friendly owners always stopping for a chat. The shed with useful information is a great idea! Only 10mins from Pewsey town centre too. So quiet you can hear a pin drop. Can't even hear the road!

Relaxation at its best

A wonderful site, picturesque views, peaceful, lovely walks, we wanted somewhere that gave us the peace and quiet we needed away from work, I can honestly say we got it. The owners were wonderful, friendly and helpful, we loved the idea of having a small shed with all the info in it we needed, great touch to a wonderful site, one to go back to , soon I hope.

A Tranquil Haven

A lovely rural spot yet within easy reach of so many attractions. Tucked away yet still easy to find, this site represents the best that is the true essence of CL's; a green and pleasant field with a view and plenty of space, facilities appropriately laid on, and a warm and genuinely interested and  helpful welcome from owners who are keen to please and support their  visitors. We will be back!

Great Site

We have just spent 4 nights at this site and loved it.(And so did our dog!!) There are so many walks directly from the caravan. We were made very welcome by the owners when we arrived. They gave us a sheet with local information and a Wiltshire Tourist Info book which came in very useful. There is also a small hut with lots of info in. The site is south facing so we had sun all day. A lovely lovely site and one which we will be going back to, in the future.
