Small, noisy at times, security issues, location excellent

This is a small site, with corresponding smaller than average pitches. It is located off the owner’s drive and it feels like you are staying in a lay-by. It abuts a school playing field, so can be noisy during the day. Also the groundsmen start early. The gate into the drive isn’t locked and although it’s a private driveway we came back one day to cars parked on our pitch. It didn’t feel safe to leave chairs or shoes outside, or even put our awning up. On the plus side, pub in town is great within walking distance. Site is convenient for local attractions .We didn’t meet the owners.

Thank you for your review. Apologies that our site did not meet your expectations.

The parking of the car on your pitch was an unfortunate one off during a local school sports event. Based on your feedback we now put clear signs up during local school events, informing parents that parking is for Charity Barn/CL members parking only.

The caravan pitch is in a rural location, where we have never experienced any safety or security issues - again apologies that you felt unsafe to leave your belongings out.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the location and local attractions. Being surrounded by national trust common land, we are proud of our unique beautiful spot and location.

Thank you again for your welcomed feedback and we hope you continue to enjoy CL stays.
