A wonderful first off-grid experience
We have only been caravanning for a year and this was our first off-grid experience. We really enjoyed staying at this site and did not find the lack of EHU an issue at all. The site has amazing views of Padstow, the Camel Estuary and views of the sea in several directions, plus beautiful sunsets. The site was extremely peaceful with only natural noise for the majority of the time given the site is situated on a no-through road that only leads to a couple of farms. The owner Paul was very friendly and came round every night to check everything was ok. Easy access to the Elsan and fresh water point in the corner of the field, and bin / recycling facilities near the entrance gate. Easy access from the A39, with the last half mile on a quiet lane with several passing places. Local pub only 100m away. A bus stop is only 0.5 mile walk away that allows you to get into Wadebridge, Padstow, Bodmin, Newquay and the surrounding coastal sites with ease. There are plenty of beautiful beaches and coastal walks to see in the surrounding area. We used this site as a base to walk a large section (Padstow to Perranporth) of the SWCP. We would happily return to this site again due to the peace and tranquillity, space and lovely views.
