Great Stay at a Well thought out CL

We stayed for 9 nights, the CL has everything you need, water & waste on a large hard standing pitch, a grassed area for each pitch with picnic bench, secure dog exercise area, 2 great shower rooms, laundry, fabulous views in a peaceful rural location. There is also a good free wifi connection and our mobile and tv reception were great. The site is in a good location to visit all areas around both West & South Wales, we visited somewhere different each day and there are still loads of places still to see, we would definitely recommend a stay here. Alun & Rebecca don’t live on site but are easily contactable by telephone if you need anything. There aren’t many local shops but the Gulf petrol station towards St Davids has a Spar with large carpark to the rear, it has a good selection and fresh bakery bread (3miles approximately). We would definitely stay here again!!

Excellent site

Quiet, clean and the best facilities you will ever see. Good communication, brilliant little gated field for dog walks. Lovely views, spacious plot with a bench. Well situated for St David’s.

Very nice quiet site for visiting the area

We spent 5 nights here at the end of October and would warmly recommend the site. It is well situated for visiting all the local area and the pitches are really nicely spaced out - and even have their own picnic table. Alun was very welcoming and Rebecca was very helpful with questions before our stay. The excellent wifi was a bonus. It was very windy while we there ! Would love to return next year.

A Gem

Just spent the week here as part of a a two week tour of Wales. It’s a delightful CL with stunning views across the area in every direction. Owners have considered every detail. All pitches are massive, hard standing with own grass area and picnic table. All pitches are fully serviced and there is a brand new toilet/shower block. And FREE Wi-Fi which is very reliable. This CL is set up MUCH better than most sites i have visited. I saw one review mentions you have to take your rubbish home. This is completely wrong. Owner supplies numerous bins for all recycling needs plus a general rubbish

Excellent New site

Stopped here for the last week in July. Very nice five site pitch with new toilet and shower facilities and Laundry room as well. Owner very helpful. very very large pitches and lovely lawned area with picnic bench. Great views and a nice quiet site. The owners have worked hard to set this site up. Location is very good for attractions in north Pembrokeshire. Highly recommend

Definitely one to return to

First, a few minor niggles, and they are minor. The last mile is through quite narrow lanes, thankfully we did not encounter traffic the other way whilst towing onto site, that would have proved difficult. The only other negative, if you can call it that - the hard standing is so hard, that even the heavy duty hard standing pegs couldn’t bite at certain points. The rest? Pretty much perfect. The site is clean, large, nice wide spaces between pitches. The views are sensational, you have a lovely panoramic view of the surrounding areas. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a lovely, large, fenced off exercise area for dogs to run free, ours absolutely loved it. The wifi signal was nice and strong across the whole site. The shower and laundry block were very modern, the shower had nice strong pressure and perfect temperature. All in all, a definite site to use time and time again when in the area. The owner has done a fantastic job here!

Great New Addition To The Network!

A newly established CL which offers fabulous views across to the Preselli Hills in one direction and the coast in the other. Access is straightforward but ensure you follow the directions as some of the lanes are unsuitable for large outfits. The pitches are all hard standing with enough space to accommodate car, caravan and awning/large motorhomes. They are also fully serviced - EHU, water and waste (make sure you have an extra long hose for water and waste). Free WiFi which works extremely well. The new 'toilet block' is now completed and is up and running. There are two showers, two toilets and a utility room housing a washing machine, tumble drier and sink. Large, fenced field for dogs to exercise off lead. Although Alun, the owner, does not live on site, it feels very secure with gated access and CCTV. He visits regularly to check on everything and deal with any queries. The previous reviewer made mention of having to take their rubbish home - this has now been resolved. There are plenty of recycling bins plus a large bin marked 'general waste'. There is plenty of walking from the site but no public transport close by. Ideally located for visiting places like St. David's, Fishguard, Strumble Head and other points of interest along the north Pembrokeshire Close. Currently charging £20 per night for two adults including EHU. Highly recommended and would definitely visit again. Thanks for a great stay.

Spacious pitches, wonderful views!

A very pleasant site with great views across to the hills and even a glimpse of the sea in the other direction. The site is in a good location not far from the coast and about ten minutes from a great fish and chip shop, so it was easy to go and get food and bring it back to the CL and eat it still hot. The weather was just a bit too cold and windy to make use of the picnic benches, but a nice option to have. Water on each pitch is a definite bonus when in a motorhome so you don’t have to drive the vehicle to the nearest tap to top up. Work was in progress on the shower and utility facilities so we couldn’t make use of these but this did look very smart from what we could see. The hard-standings are of a very generous size and access from the lane was easy for us in a small motorhome. The “drive-over” grey waste drain was positioned too close to the fence for us to actually drive over it to empty our waste water, just mentioning this as you probably will still need to use your outlet hose so don’t leave it at home. There were two negatives for me, the first being the request to take your general rubbish home with you. Keeping our rubbish until we could find a bin was a bit of a nuisance, especially having to keep the remains of a fish and chip supper (very smelly) in the van overnight. Plenty of bins for recycling which was good. I have never been on a CL where I could not dispose of general rubbish on site. 2nd negative - The wi-fi worked very well for the first three days, but on the morning of the fourth day we no longer had access. We were leaving the next day and didn’t want the hassle of finding the owner (who we hadn’t seen during our stay), but had we been staying longer we would have made a point of trying to get this resolved. Overall, the owner has obviously worked hard to make a great all year round site and we would definitely like to return in the future.

Excellent site with panoramic views and hard standings

We had a great four-day stay at this lovely site. The main thing for us is views and this site had great views from all pitches. Very clean, well laid out, gravel drives and standings. A great spot to tour the area from. Recommended

Beautiful view

Extra large hard standing pitches ideal for wet winter touring. Visited here in November, all other CLs in the area are closed…Allyn has put in extra large hard standing with EHU, grey water and water connection for each pitch. The drinking water close by is a nice touch. There is a shower and utility room to be completed soon which will save us a trip to widow twanky’s laundrette (I am not joking). There is Wi-Fi too. All in all a fantastic rural site with the amenities of a larger site with the feel of a certified location.
