Lovely CL

Really warm welcome when we arrived.  Lovely owners and their eggs are beautiful for breakfast. Ideal base for visiting Bude, Tintagel and surrounding area. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely CL.

We have just returned from a short break in Cornwall and what a lovely and friendly site we found. The entrance to Burn Farm is very easy to negotiate as is the entrance to the actual CL but you don't get far before you meet Mandy and her husband who we found to be an absolute delight to talk to and to us give local advice on where to go to etc. The site itself is very peaceful with very large pitches, well defined recycling bins, water point and disposal area. The walk through the wood on a sunny evening was lovely and for dog owners it's brilliant to be able to exercise your pooch in such a natural setting. All in all, if I'm in North Cornwall I know the place to stay.

Excellent CL!

We stayed here for one night as we were passing through and will definitely stay again. The site was easy to find and immaculate, the water tap was by the entrance gate which made it easy not to forget to fill up before we pitched, the recycling bins were tidy and well labelled, and the owners were very friendly. The hard standing was a bonus as it had been raining all day.

Perfect Peace

We spent 3 nights at Burn Farm and are pleased to say that it rates as one of the best CLs we have stayed on.Mr & Mrs Pollard were very helpful and friendly and more than happy to advice us on places of intrest within the area. The site itself reflected the pride that the owners have in their site, the grass was short and in good condition and the water points, waist disposal and refuse sites were clearly marked and in good order. The site is large and has enabled the owners to have what is in effect two sites, the first half of the field being hard standing under a grass covering whilst there are duplicate pitches on grass for those that want them,an ideal situation in wet weather. Would we visit again, most certainly.

Super CL

Just spent 2 weeks at Burn Farm - it is a super CL with lots of space, peace and quiet. The site is well maintained and has a lovely little wood opposite the caravans where we were able to take our dog. There is also hard standings if it was wet. Toilet emptying point, bins, etc are all well organised and kept in good order. We will definitely return and recommend to others.

For peace and space, this is the place...

We have just returned from a 15 night stay on this CL with our caravan and would not hesitate to visit again! The site was easily accessed from the road and we received a warm welcome from the owners. For much of our stay there were 5 caravans on site but there is so much room on the field that the vans are really well spaced out. The view from the front of the caravan was the lovely wood. We ventured in there twice - the first time was at dusk - perhaps not a wise move in retrospect as you can easily lose track of where you are down the interesting criss-cross of paths - great fun!! The site is within easy reach of Bude (good sunset photos) and also Bideford, Boscastle, Tintagel etc. Toilet emptying and water point were easily accessed - we couldn't actually fault the place - need we say more......

S----P----A----C-----E !!!

This is a peach of a CL with not just a bit of space but masses of space and a bit more! Children and dog walkers will love the en-suite wood for adventures and owners are friendly and welcoming. Plenty close to local shops and beaches and lovely owners supplied us with info to find beaches dogs can use too! Well kept site with some hard-standing pitches but lots of well kept grass too; perfect for walking barefoot on. And Husband adds that emptying point is at ground level which made his jobs so much easier, brilliant design! And Mrs P makes the most amazing chutney and we'll be back for the jam soon!!

Weather cold but a warm reception

What a warm and welcoming reception that continued throughout our 4 day stay. The weather for months has been diabolical in the SW with very heavy down pours and flooding a constant. The pitches were undoubtedly boggy but then so would any other CL under these conditions. Within a short time of arriving our car got bogged down and was unable to move, with our tail between our legs we asked Brian and Mandy at the farmhouse for help! No problem, with a cheery smile, out came the tractor and the car was liberated. Upon our arrival the weather started to dry up and turned cold and frosty, after a few days of the ground drying out it was easy to see what a beautiful little CL it must be under different conditions. And we truly believe that if Mandy and Brian had the power to manifest perfect sunshine everyday then they would. Bude is 4 miles away with an Asda and a Sainsbury and the town of Bude has lots of individual shops giving it a unique feel. The beaches of course were amazing our two whippets loved it. We will return again!

Well appointed peaceful site

A great site in the heart of the countryside but with easy access and a superb range of inland and coastal walks nearby. A nice level site with plenty of space in summer and good grassed hard standing at wetter times with still plenty of room. Easy access to drinking water and excellently designed emptying point. Mandy and Brian are excellent hosts, always there when you need them and quietly keeping everything ship-shape for the pleasantest of stays. We would not hesitate to stay with them again if we are in the area.
