what a little gem.
Stayed at Bryncelyn for 14 nights with our 2 JRT dogs. Pitch 1 was superb, with all pitches now having a water tap.
The field itself is slightly sloping which necessitates raising the jockey wheel ( or the front of your motorhome) quite a bit.
As we use a full sized awning i didn't level our caravan enough causing our shower tray some drainage issues: entirely my fault for rushing the setting up activities.
The B road passing the site wasn't itself intrusive but the council were resurfacing it which did generate a little noise, one morning at 6am...! Again, shouldn't normally be a problem.
The lack of shower and toilet facilities didnt bother us at all as we tend to use our own out of choice anyway.
As mentioned elsewhere, dog walking is excellent direct from the site.
We also found a fabulous community-run pub about 4 miles drive over the moors (which is worth the drive itself for the far-reaching views) the Tarfarn Sinc. Superb pub grub, very quirky and extremely reasonable pricing.
Some of the best thick cut bacon we've sampled was available from the Butcher in Newport.
We spent many a happy sunny day on Newport Sands, dog-friendly and free parking direct on the sand. Another beach we enjoyed was Poppet Sands, just west of Cardigan.
Cardigan itself boast a great high street with many shops including an Aldi and a large Tesco.
A little nearer Bryncelyn campsite are a petrol station and a country store for essentials.
The owners were away whilst we stayed so there was nobody present when we arrived. We had been informed about this in advance and we were met after a few nights by their son-in-law who was very accommodating.
In summary: great peaceful little site, easy local road and site access (make sure you access while heading SW through Crosswell and not NE through Greenway if you're towing).
