Great cl
Chose this site for a short break with our dogs.Lovely welcome from Peter, the owner on arrival and a charming location. Ideal central location for many enjoyable walks in varied scenery. Adjacent to wonderful views of the Preseli hills via the gate on the site. Looking forward to a return trip very soon.

Hidden Gem
We originally booked this site for a week having never been to the area before. When we found there was just so much to see and do on our doorstep and being blessed by great weather we extended our booking for another week. Amazingly Peter had space for us. Can't understand why this CL isn't full all year-with extensive views, a friendly welcome, and access to places of interest and the coast, what's not to like? Peter was chatty and was always on hand to deal with queries and offer advice on places to visit. Hand sanitiser was freely available and there were even bins for food waste. There was plenty of space, and even a picnic bench available for each pitch so no worries about unpacking chairs etc, and there were two water points. Some pitches were slightly sloping but this was not an issue. The CL is surrounded by beautiful countryside and it was a feature of our stay to be wowed by amazing sunsets behind the hills opposite. It is easily accessed from a B road so no having to negotiate narrow lanes with caravans or motorhomes and hoping not to meet anyone coming the other way. We would highly recommend this CL and will definitely be back.

Totally agree with other reviews, five stars all the way. Particularly appreciated Peter's local knowledge. One example being his helpfulness in finding a great kayaking location, even provided a printed map. One Step Beyond - well done.
A piece of heaven in North Pembrokeshire
From booking to on site trouble free.
Welcomed by Peter and made to feel at home this site is truly a piece of heaven with view of the Preseli hills and direct access to thousands of acres of National parkland and the hills.
Benches are provide for each pitch and 10 Amp supply, along with water and a clean chemical disposal point makes for the ideal set-up.
Even thought we had exception rainfall the site remained well drained and mud free.
Looking forward to our next visit.
Welcoming and beautifully located site
Peter was a warm and welcoming host who has clearly put some thought and effort into the set up of the site. Water points are clean, well maintained and easily accessed with hand gel dispensers on each tap. The chemical disposal point is easily accessed with cleaning wipes, fresh water and hand gel available. Easily marked and located recycling. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to return. We enjoy peace and tranquility which this site gives. By exiting through the back gate you have direct access to the Preseli hills which provide breathtaking views and miles of walking. Don’t forget to look up at the night sky! Easy road access and within driving distance of the coast and its hosts of attractions. Thanks Peter and we look forward to our return.
This is a fantastic CL in a beautiful location!
We have just returned from a couple of nights on this site and will definitely return. There is direct access into the Preseli Hills for walking, and the site is very well maintained with cut grass and the owners have put a lot of thought into the facilities on the site, the owner had also put out sanitation points (we visited during the coronavirus pandemic) throughout the site which was appreciated. The owner is very friendly and we received a warm welcome, and he was very understanding when we unexpectedly had to leave early.

A lovely and peaceful place to stay with well maintained facilities and cut grass. Delightful and helpful hosts. The gate from the site leads to miles of walking and views to die for. Thanks very much for a lovely stay. Definitely recommended !

A mußt be
Es gibt Plätze, die will man ganz für sich behalten - so wunderschön sind sie! Dies ist so ein Platz!!! Einfach, aber sehr gepflegt. Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Kamen mit Peter sofort ins Gespräch! Aber das absolute Highlight ist die Heidelandschaft direkt hinter dem Platz! Ein absoluter Traum zum genießen und Wandern! Von uns gibt es dafür ****** Sterne!
A very special place for peace and tranquility
We stayed for 4 days in mid July with our camper van. The site is in a wonderful location at the base of the Preseli Hills. Peter made us feel very welcome and went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. You can walk directly from the site and the coast is about a 15 minute drive. Lots of good pubs and restaurants in Newport and fabulous coast walks. If you want peace away from the bustle of the coast but with easy access to the coast, then we would highly recommend this site.
