A beautifully quiet site but take care on arrival/departure!!
We stayed on this site at August bank holiday weekend having read some of the reviews listed. The owner is friendly and has a CL together with 5 seasonal pitches and 5 other pitches. The CL is fenced off from the other pitches and all 5 pitches are hard standing. It is a peaceful site which does have chickens wandering about and the sheep walk through the CL at about the same time every evening, chomp the grass for a while before moving on and do not bother the caravanners.
A word of WARNING.....The entrance to the site is relatively narrow, you firstly have to negotiate two cattle grids with a single track long road inbetween but a slow approach is all you need. Turning into the CL takes time and care as the entrance has two fence posts which are offset and the turn is a sharp right. We have a 26 foot twin axle caravan and I did have to aim my car at another pitched caravan to make the turn! The side of the caravan was only a few inches from the gate post and my heart raced a little but we got in and pitched easily. Leaving the site had the same problem but thanks to two other caravanners who watched me out we got out without incident. This could be easily rectified if the owner widened the entrance a little?? If you have a non standard width caravan you may want to look at a different site.
We would return to this site as we had a lovely peaceful time there. Enjoy it..
