Host sounded very friendly and welcoming on the phone.
I see a lot of people mention the grass being nice and short, not on this occasion, it was very long and hadn't been cut for some time. Quite hard work trudging through the wet grass to find the facilities.
However, it is a nice cheap site at £6 a night so you can't expect too much.
Lovely peaceful position and very handy for visiting local attraction like the Sculpture Park which is a real 'must see'.
Lovely quiet site and good price
This is such a lovely well kept site. Plenty of space and smooth well cut grass. Easy access to interesting places like Chirk Castle and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. We also walked from the site joining the Offas Dyke path, or you could walk into Trefonen. A well priced site when all you need is a place to park, a water tap and waste facilities

More CLs like this please
Stayed here in September 2021. Beautifully well mown, flat lawn with plenty of space. Good waste facilities and a very friendly welcome. The club needs more sites like this for those of us who resent paying for electricity as we don't come away with a van full of electric gadgets. Excellent value for money.
Really exceptional
We have stayed in a number of smaller sites recently and I think this one ranks with the best. It a large, level, beautifully mown field with the usual facilities but including recycling. I wish I had had time to visit the nearby micro brewery pub - perhaps next time!

Great, simple, quiet & extremely inexpensive site
Our very first CL stay in May and a great introduction. Very friendly welcome, very quiet, spacious and level field and exceptional value. A handy location too for us breaking a journey to south Wales. Would definitely return.
Perfect - and exceptional value
Everything you could wish for in a CL - a warm welcome (and very helpful on the phone), easy to find, spotlessly clean with excellent water/draining facilities, quiet, level ground. We don't need EHU so it was ideal. Excellent value for money, Would definitely stay again.

Peace and Tranquility
We received a very warm welcome from the owners and their dog. The site is very well maintained, secure and flat. We visited in March when the ground was still soft but the owner thoughtfully left a pile of tyre mats out 'just in case', I suggest a phone call ahead if you are concerned about soft ground but it wasn't an issue to us.
The local village hosts a micro brewery in The Barley Mow, a no frills but very friendly pub only a gentle 10 min walk away. Excellent ales!
The clear sky at night was a star gazers dream with no light pollution.
All in all, quiet, peaceful, friendly with beautiful views. Recommended,
Peaceful site
Warm welcome from the owner. Very well kept site. Ground was level and the grass kept short. Short walk in either direction to a pub. The bus dropped us off at the end of the short drive on our return from Oswestry, we got a lift in, and would presume that the bus could be hailed on it's way by. Very peaceful, lovely views.
