Ease of arrival/welcome

A quiet welcoming site.

We stayed for 5 nights. We were warmly welcomed and the pitch was marked out by neatly mown lines and a good size allowing pitching orientation to suit. It was very convenient to have a water supply to the pitch and to be able to drain into the hedge bottom so basically a fully serviced pitch. Newborough is a short walk away with a pub where the landlord is clearly a rock music fan with various electric guitars mounted on the walls. There is a newly opened convenience store and an excellent fish and chip shop. Newborough Forest with a maze of walking and cycling trails is on the doorstep. The fantastic beach is a very short step from the pay car park. We cycled in and enjoyed the cycle trail around the forest. Moelfre on the East side is worth a visit and a walk around the headland past the lifeboat station.
