Wow, what a lovely CL. Great welcome from Paul who showed us round. Fresh eggs and locally baked cakes and jam available to buy from the ‘hut’ which also contained leaflets and the best box of get out of jail free bits and pieces to help those that have forgotten something. Immaculate grass, superb toilet and shower. Nice touch was the welcome board showing you your pitch name, we stayed on Woopecker and there were bird feeders if we wanted to tempt them in. As I’m a lover of all things different, I really liked the unusual cover for the CDP - you’ll have to go stay to see what I mean. Only regret was not seeing the evening fox visitor.
Would thoroughly recommend this site.
Just returned for are first visit , was very impressed with the excellent up keep of the site , Paul and his wife really couldn't have been anymore welcoming or help full , this is a must for those who like a peaceful site but within a radius for some great days out, just try I'm sure you won't be disappointed even in the rain . Harlow
Just returned from a few days at this site, the owner was very welcoming , showed us around and explained everything to us. Site is really well manicured and peaceful . We will certainly be return here.
Had another wonderful 5 nights at this great site. This was our second visit and as experienced before, the site and facilities were immaculate and that is down to the hard and consistent work of Paul, the owner. Well done! We will be back.
We have stayed on this site many times and when you think it can’t get better we are always surprised to find that when we visit again it has!
When you first arrive your first welcome is to find your name and pitch on a beautiful Welcome Board.
The site is always in first class condition, the grass neatly cut, the flowers well tended and the hard standings providing water and electricity.
The bathroom is really clean, has a shower with plenty of hot water and has some tasteful features, notices to make you smile and flowers to add to the decor.
Paul is a real gentleman and always has time to meet you and help with any problems you may have.
There is a hut where you can get fresh eggs and cakes and an Honesty Box to pay for them.
We have been many times and hope that we shall visit on more occasions in the future
The views from the site are lovely.
If you’re looking for tranquillity and good old fashioned courtesy then head for Brunette Cottage!
A gem of a site - we only stayed for three nights, but wished it could have been longer. It has everything you could possibly want and the extra touches make it a very special place. So good we have just nominated it for CL of the Year.
Brunette Cottage is a beautiful site, nothing is out of place. BIG pitches so you have plenty of space around you. So handy having your own direct feed water supply and of course the EHU. Its so quaint that all the pitches have bird names, we stayed on Woodpecker pitch. We were there for 10 nights. The washroom facilities are beautifully kept, clean and the underfloor heating?? WOW such luxury!!!
The site is down a long country road with a few farms and lots of fields so right out in the country, At night you can hear the owls and daytime sees a variety of different birds feeding on the bird feeders on each pitch.
There is a corner of the site dedicated to dog walking but this is on lead, but you can walk down the land a short way and go into a field for some off-lead fun. Our dogs loved this. There are several walks around the area with your four-legged friend(s)
A fabulous site well worth a visit and we'll definitely be back to see Paul and Helen again. Oh, and there are fresh eggs provided by the on-site resident chicks and locally cakes to buy too!!!
We have just returned from this fabulous site, having stayed for a week. Full credit to Paul and Helen who own and run this CL. All pitches are hard standing and fully serviced, with gorgeous views westwards, (sunsets to die for) Facilities are kept spotless, and a well stocked information sumerhouse. Many thanks for a lovely stay, and keep up the good work.
Kindest regards,
Chris and Jeff Dixon.
