Just back from a great mini break at Broomedge. The site was immaculate and the grass pitches (for caravans only) are very spacious with vast views ranging from winter hill and rural on one side to a really awesome view of the skyscrapers in manchester to the other. Motorhomes use the hardstanding, but has equally good views. You turn off the main road into what looks like an ordinary drive in between houses but then it opens out into a great big field with fields of wheat in front of you which make you feel like you are right in the countryside - there are 2 lovely pubs just a 2-3 minute walk away and a good little shop too. The owner has recently installed a new toilet and shower block and they are the best we've seen - absolutely brand new, modern and immaculate. This was just a perfect CL for us. Great views, good access from main road, large pitches, great open views, tranquility, friendly welcome on arrival, modern clean facilities and rural yet close to a good pub and nice town. It was too hot for walks but owner has details of them on display and we cant wait to do them. We will be back as soon as we can. thanks for great stay.
