We spent a lovely, relaxing long weekend at this stunning site earlier this month. I'm usually wary of grass pitches outside of the main summer season, but even after several hours of heavy rain early on our final morning there wasn't a spot of mud to be seen, the ground was so free-draining. Although the site is in the centre of the village, the pitches are sheltered by the church to one side and the barn containing the facilities on another, making them very peaceful. The sunsets are every bit as spectacular as the photos suggest.
Communication was faultless, from our original e-mail booking to the helpful information sheets Sally sent us, the warm welcome on arrival and Neville's daily visits on his bicycle to check that all was well. We even received an e-mail from Sally when we got home, apologising for not being there to say goodbye when we left.
As other reviewers have already mentioned, there is plenty to do in the local area. Road access is good and the local footpaths are excellent. We need to go back with our bikes & try the local cycle routes too!
Brisley CL is in a very lovely small village, with the Brisley Bell pub within walking distance. There’s a fabulous footpath around the site, which is perfect for walking the dog or just to get a bit of exercise and fresh air. The gates are kept closed, which feels very secure. The owners are so friendly, accommodating and welcoming, without being at all imposing. The barn at the beginning of the site gives it a secure, private feel, while housing a WC, which is separate to the large shower room, with a free to use shower, the shower room also has a washer (£2 honesty box charge per use) there is also a large sink unit in there. Recycling and waste bins are closeby, as is the Elsan emptying point, both are fenced off to look more appealing All facilities were kept spotlessly clean during our stay. Grass is cut and taken away regularly. Lovely spacious pitches all overlooking fields. The night sky is amazing here as there’s no light pollution, a torch is recommended for going out at night. The site is a really good base for exploring the surrounding area, we visited Holkham hall and beach, Sheringham Park, Oxburgh Hall, Cromer, Blicking Hall, Sandringham is also within easy reach, we’ll definitely be back soon! :-)
We stayed at Brisley Hall Farm a few weeks ago for 5 nights. One of the most outstanding aspect of the site is its owners, Neville and Sally. They are the friendliest and most attentive hosts we have had the pleasure of meeting in any CL site we have stayed in during the last 4 years. Nothing was too much trouble if anything needed or asked for and a welcome visit from them each day to ask all was well, without being intrusive. The site has a very clean toilet and roomy separate shower. A washing machine in this room if required. There is a fridge/freezer for use too. Free range eggs for sale and a couple of boards with information on the area. There are many footpaths from the site and surrounding areas and a very good area for cycling on mainly traffic free lanes. The commons are fantastic for walking on too, which are very safe and quiet. The Brisley Bell Pub at one end of the village, with a lovely ambience, and just along the road the other end of village is The Old Dairy, serving delicious homemade food and coffee/tea etc, and where homemade jams, marmalades and mustard can be purchased. Brisley is an ideal base for visiting other parts of Norfolk, with the coast not too far away and Norwich easily accessible. A few National Trust Properties too. A CL site to be fully recommended. Thank you, Neville and Sally, for a lovely stay. We'll be back.
This top notch CL is located in a section of Norfolk that is delightful. The owners are welcoming and friendly and work really hard to maintain high standards. Walks off the site are available and the village pub The Brisley Bell is excellent and award winning. We have images here https://www.behance.net/gallery/148941493/Brisley-North-Norfolk should you want to look further (copy and cut and paste into a browser). These are just a members photos and not a business. There are a number of great reviews already for this site and we agree with the content , high standards , friendliness and a good location. One of the best CL's we have been on.
What a lovely CL , had a lovely warm welcome from Sally and Neville they told us where everything was and what was in the area , toilets and showers spotless , water taps to each pitch and a communal fridge if you wanted to use it also ice creams in the freezer if you want one and also eggs for sale an honesty box is near the toilet .
Lovely walks from the site really spoilt for choice one on the outer edge of the site it's self , walk up near the church turn left and a there is a big common , if you go to Elham near the church there are some ruins to look at and walks for miles . Elmham has a cafe called The Tea Post it does really good meals you must try the fry up very good value for money and also The Old Dairy which is in walking distance from the site about a mile they do sandwiches , tea and coffee , Fakenham , Wells and Hunstanton are not far away . We will be back a first class site thank you Sally and Neville for a lovely stay it just went to quick .

Just had 5 night stay. Owners Sally and Neville very welcoming. Level grass Pitches, with views over the fields. Clean WC and separate shower room, where there is a washing machine (no charge for either). Useful note provided ahead of visit highlighting local pubs, restaurants, markets and places of interest. EHU and water to each pitch. Dog walk around perimeter of some of the fields. We found location was ideal to tour Norfolk. We plan to return later in year.
Just spent 9 nights on this lovely site. Access good and feels secure as you drive between horse pastures, through a gate and onto the site at the rear of the property. Owners are welcoming and friendly and often about if you need anything but not intrusive. Any local events updated on the notice board and lots of info and menus for local walks and eateries etc. Lovely permissive footpath walks direct from site and perfect for walking dogs. A nice little area for an early morning/late night pee (for dogs obviously) without having to let them toilet on pitches. We didnt venture too far walking as both myself and dog were struggling. Having said that, we did manage to 'limp' to the local pub 'The Bell'. If you want to eat, you need to book in plenty of time, but the beer garden and outside area were lovely (best beer garden we have been to). The Old Dairy which is walkable but a bit rough going in places apparently (hubby tested it out) so we drove but worth the effort of getting the car out. We had lunch and breakfast there on seperate days. The rear garden area is great, with planters between tables so you feel nice and private so great for dogs. Hubby went to watch the cricket in the village another day. The site itself is well kept with toilet and shower basic but spotless (remember to take paper towels which are just outside toilet, in with you so you can dry hands before exiting. Pitches are not huge but adequate room for car, caravan and awning. Nice touch is the fridge freezer for use by everyone. Fresh eggs and icecreams available with honesty box. Overall a very peaceful and well kept site with uninterupted views over the fields and definitely worth a visit. Met some lovely people on site. Everyone was respectful of others but friendly. My advice, get it booked!
I never write reviews but after staying here for four days I simply had to! Wonderful site with views to die for and excellent facilities. Neville and Sally made us feel extremely welcome and were friendly and engaging. This is a CL that could teach many club sites a lesson. Perfectly prepared level grass pitches each with water hook up and spotless toilet and shower facilities. This should surely be a contender for CL of the year! We will definitely be back many times!
Total relaxation in the countryside-perfect.
Stayed at Easter and found it to be a clean, neat site with lovely views and very friendly. Brisley Bell a wonderful pub and there were some lovely walks from the site. All facilities totally spotless and the Magnum ice creams in the freezer were much appreciated after a 14 mile walk! Loved it.
I have never left a review before but this site was so good I just had to put pen to paper as it were. The location was beautiful, the facilities superb and the owners, Sally and Neville, were brilliant - there if needed but unobtrusive. We loved the fresh eggs laid by their 'rescued ladies' and highly recommend this site.
