We have just left Brigholme Farm after 13 nights (had to leave for personal reasons 1 day early). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The welcome was warm but not obtrusive, the views were great, the town was lovely, the walks were numerous and varied. Over the two weeks we walked the three peaks as well as the Malam waks etc etc.
We look forward to returning again next year. Thanks for a lovely stay
Perfect site
Just stayed at this CL. Jan 2017. Perfect location within walking distance of Settle town centre. Lovely owners. Hard standings. Excellent for our short break to Yorkshire. Would definitely recommend.
Good CL in a great setting
Late July we were here for one night. Beautiful CL in the middle of the fields of the farm and stunning views all around. Cows taking a bath in the ditch next to the CL, how romantic! Walking distance from the beautiful town of Settle with its gorgeous old station. One thing (but the CL owners can't help that I think): don't walk your dog in the street right outside the CL, the residents will get angry.
Stunning Settle
We frequently visit this CL and are always greeted by Jean like old friends. It is very conveniently located to walk into Settle and provides easy access to the fine walking in the Yorkshire Dales. Settle have many fine places to eat, you cannot beat The Talbot for pub grub and a wide range of local ales, The Lion is also worth a visit, our favourite restaurant is the Little House great service and wonderful food. 2 nights in July
We visited here for the first time in July, looking for a peaceful 2 nights. Only 30 miles from home the site has very easy access and is in close proximity to Settle and all that has to offer. Now we know where it is and the fact that it's open all year we will definitely return.
Very Nice
A lovely site within walking distance to Settle, good access roads and nice and peaceful and quiet.
Our second visit
We have just spent two weeks at Brigholme Farm CL, our second visit to this site. It is ideally located for walking into Settle (ten minutes stroll), which has a full range of local shops, pubs and restaurants.
The Lion and the Talbot are both dog friendly pubs with free wifi access. The Talbot serves excellent pub food and an ever changing range of well kept real ales.
Our favourite restaurant is The Little House. Serving high quality local produce, it is well worth a visit.
The area is full of great places to walk, either directly from the site or a short drive into the Dales. You can see our walks on our blog www.twodogsandanawning.co.uk
Small but beautiful
Despite being rather cosy, we like this site. Admittedly in pouring rain our hard stand flooded but it did soak in within a few hours. The views are excellent and proximity to Settle and Giggleswick stations make it an ideal location. Can easily walk to both stations and to shops and pubs. Also easy access for walking routes, buses and cycle routes. Loved watching the cows in the fields in front of us moving about constantly. All grass mown regularly.
Use but not in Winter.
We stayed here early last year, and have to agree that the site is to say the least a little cosy, with no where to park the car or to my mind put up an awning without infringing on your neighbours pitch. we paid £10 per night but I notice in the new handbook the price is £16 I rang the owner to clarify this price as I was going to go again this year, to be told the winter price is £16 the summer price is £12. Sorry but for the facilities on offer it is too expensive.
On a plus note it is within easy walking distance of both Giggleswick and Settle.
