Lovely site, great location.

We stayed for 4 nights in July and would love to have been able to stay for longer. Very friendly owners, super clean facilities and having our own water tap was a real treat. Highly recommended, hope to come back again soon.

Ideally located

We stayed here for 17nights. The site is a large, grassy field and is sloping, however, the owners have no objections to parking anyway you wish, so levelling is pretty easy. An added bonus is that there is a water tap for each pitch so no aquaroll filling! A great site for access to Bridport and West Bay (Broadchurch) We cycled to Bridport several times and it took us 15 mins and further 10mins to West Bay. Bridport is a lovely town, has a market on Saturdays where you can browse vintage items on stalls all along the streets of the town. Bookshops abound as does lovely cafes and eateries. Can highly recommend 'Moore than Tea' cafe. We bought seaweed sour dough bread from the Punch & Judy Bakery (delicious), enjoyed home made cakes including Dorset apple cake. Golden Cap (highest point in Dorset) is nearby and we climbed this hill for great views of the coastline. The owners of this site are unobtrusive but helpful if you need them and I would recommend this CL for exploring this part of the Jurassic coast. n.b. access is via a short, narrowish lane so approach with care.

Excellent stay

Not much more to add that other visitors haven't already mentioned, other than to say the owners are very pleasant unobtrusive people. Access is straightforward from the A35 just take care if approaching from Dorchester as the turning into the lane is just after a bend in the road and you may overshoot, just approach the turn at a reasonable speed. There is a stocked fishing pool on site which is the very early stages of being restored to allow it to be fully accessed, which is the plan of the current owner,it will just take time, however still managed to catch a few fish. An enjoyable stay in perfect weather.

Well Located

Just spent 4 nights here on a short break. The site is very well maintained and the owners are very friendly and laid back. The 5 pitches are well positioned and each have their own water point which is a great benefit. There is some noise from the main Dorchester to Bridport road but to be honest it was not intrusive in any way. The site is sloping and chances are you will need levelling blocks, other than that this is an excellent site and well positioned for visiting many attractions throughout Dorset and along the Jurassic cost.

Great site

We stayed here last July, I'm a bit late with my review but never mind. This is a great site on the edge of a beautiful village. The family running it are very welcoming and laid back. When we were there one of the pitches was waterlogged due to a burst water pipe , but there is so much space it didn't really matter. It is sloping, and we found it was better to pitch 'side on'. Water points on every pitch, so take your mains connector with you. We had one scary moment when our dog decided to chase the chickens!! Near to Bridport and all the Broadchurch locations. And the weather was beautiful all the time we were there.

Excellent Site

We stayed two weeks and had a wonderful holiday. Some levelling required but otherwise pitch was perfect. Owners made us very welcome and gave sound advice on places to eat and drink. Own water supply and electrical hook-up very convenient. Good chemical and grey water disposal and recycling etc. The local area is excellent for walking and many good hikes can be made from the site. The walk into Bridport is pleasant and convenient. It was so nice to leave the car and walk to most places. The A35 is a bit adjacent and there was some traffic noise but then we come from a very quiet location and are probably over-sensitive. We will definitely be back and maybe in time for next year's beer festival!

First Visit

Now under new management since March 2016. Owners very welcoming. Tranquil & peaceful site in lovely surroundings close to town and coast. Bus stop at top of lane and easy walking distance to Bridport. Easily accessible site with good sized pitches with own electric and water points - easy and convenient rubbish & waste disposal. We will be going back and would highly recommend.

First Visit

Just opened up this season, well appointed and very friendly welcoming owners. We enjoyed a week's stay at beginning of September and will definitely return; anxious to see the further developments take shape that Peter and Kelly have planned. Well spaced pitches conveniently serviced with water points, a quiet site to relax on and easy to explore from. Tony & Barbara

Bridport Caravan Park

A lovely ,peaceful site very close to the main Bridport- Dorchester road with easy access.Owners  Kelly and Peter Osbourne were extremely friendly and welcoming, couldn't do enough for us.Pitches were large and fairly level although some blocks might be useful. Elecric hook up point and mains water close to pitches.Pleasant walk of about a mile and a quarter through pretty village of Walditch into centre of Bridport. Very convenient for visiting many places of interest in the area. It's a new site and deserves to do well. We shall certainly be visiting again and will look forward to it .  Anita and Geoff Thomas.
