Peaceful

We had a lovely stay at this quiet and peaceful farm well marked pitches with grass to both sides and will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Lovely country location

A lovely country site. I rang at short notice and stayed Friday night. The site is very neat and tidy and the shower toilet block is made very well from a metal container. It works very well with good hot water, clean and tidy.Plenty of information from the hosts and i even watched the Shrewsbury flower show fireworks as a result of this. A cracking site i will happily return. Stewart.

This is a lovely site, quiet, spacious with lots to do in the area. We hope to make a return visit later this year.

Excellent CL

We stayed for 2 nights over the Easter weekend and had a lovely stay. Followed the advice to ignore sat nav and follow the directions in the handbook to approach from the A49. Wide lanes with useful pull-ins and no problems at all. The site has good space between the pitches, all hard standing. Other reviews say that the toilet and shower facilities are a little basic and yes, they are but they are very clean, the water is hot and there are useful hooks on the walls, a shower mat and a chair for towels etc. The walk around the farm perimeter was brilliant for the dog and was beautiful in the early morning sunshine. We also had a nice walk from the site through Frodesley to Causeway Wood and drove to Bridges to do the Ascomb Walk (excellent Bridges Inn, good food and great choice of Three Tuns beers!). All in all a great site and excellent value for money.

A hidden gem of a CL site

What a super CL site, wide pitches, re-cycling on site (impressed). The toilet block is clean and easy to use shower, all for £14 per night for two people, we have paid more for CL's without any of these facilities. A guide of interesting places to visit can be found in the toilet block, so helpful if you are on your first visit. There is a walk from the site around the farm, lovely walk even if you haven't a dog. Joanne came to introduce herself, a super lady with a great sense of humour. Fresh eggs are available, which are so lovely we had to buy more to take home as presents for family and friends and of course for us! Looking forward to our next visit and will save empty egg boxes for then. Already booked our next visit.

Have been to better

Stayed at this CL just after Easter and chose it because people we were with needed shower and toiltets. The site itself is in a quiet area with lovely scenery and excellent on site walking - great for dog owners like us. However the facilities let it down and the general appearance of the site. The shower/loo is in a shipping container and there are other containers around the site that really just made it look shabby. The people we were staying with didn't use the facilities in the end as they didn't feel they were up to scratch although I think they were being a little fussy here!!

Not what's expected from a CCCL- extremely saddened by greed of owners.

Extremely saddened by attitude of owner. Stayed on this site over Easter. Woke on Easter Monday to pitch being completely flooded and belongings floating around awning. I contacted owner who informed me this had never happened before. There was a massively flooded area in front of another pitch and my parents who were also staying on site had a completely water logged area under their car. In the spirit of caravaning we dealt with the issue and moved to another pitch causing no issues to the owners- one of which who came to see our predicament and apologised and maintained the stance it had never happened before. On leaving I went to settle our bill and was extremely saddened that not only did she charge me an extra £4 a night for children even though this isn't listed on the site when booking but she informed me it is on a notice in the toilet she didn't even offer a gesture of goodwill in terms of cost for all our inconvenience and upset from being flooded. She arrived at our caravan 5 minutes after I informed her of my disappointment with £16 which was In respect of the over charge only although my husband said no she left the money outside our van - a feel this was a guilty gesture. We will not be back and neither will our family. If any body wishes to see pictures of the flooding please do not hesitate to contact me via reply and I will forward them.

Fantastic little site

What a little gem of a site, We have just got back home from 11 fantastic days here, John and Jo made us very welcome and our 3 dogs absolutely loved every second as we did, The site has got a very nice and clean shower block. Also we fell in love with the little pony (Frosty) next to the site, We will definitely be going back in October for another 2 weeks, also the dog walks around the fields are more than ample for them to stretch their legs, and what a lovely peaceful and tranquil site, most days we were out exploring all the lovely countryside and we were never bored, counting down the days to our next visit
