Nice little site within walking distance of the village of Benton, classic village with church, duck pond on the green and a great pub that with good food. The Railway Station is next to the site so access to the area without using the car is very handy, it runs from Hull to Scarborough on a single track line. The nearest site to Benton Cliffs so if bird watching is your thing this is perfect. The rail track is in a deep cutting so the trains don't disturb you on site, I like a quite site and didn't find the trains a problem. The site is elevated so you get a pleasant outlook and the couple running the site do their best to be helpful, including supplying timber block to help level up.
The only downside is that the toilet emptying point is a bit grim, it does the job but needs an update. On the other hand the grey water runs into the hedge so no waste tank to empty.
A little Gem of a site
From the minute we arrived on this site we felt welcome and relaxed. Micheal came to help site us and show us the amenities which were clean, tidy and well signposted. This well kept site had lovely views over countryside and although positioned near a railway line was tranquil. The walk into the village of Bempton itself was easy and resulted in us finding a lovely little church which at the time we visited was holding an flower festival plus afternoon teas in the village hall, needless to say we participated in tea and cake. This site is within easy distance of Bridlington, Filey, Scarborough, Flamborough etc and offered us the perfect base to explore. A true Gem of a site, can't wait to revisit. Thank you Shirley and Micheal for your hospitality. x

Handy CL for RSPB Bempton
We chose this CL as it was close to Bempton Cliffs. Site was easy to find and access good.
The site is a sloping grass field, but there are blocks available if required.
There are a couple of water taps and bins and recycling available. The CDP is a bit primative and really needs a hose for rinsing.
Owners very friendly and Mr Wheeler was out mowing and hedge trimming to keep the site tidy.
The village and station are a short walk away, there is a shop and pub in the village, although the pub does not welcome dogs.
We hardly noticed the trains as they stop at the station and are travelling slowly.
It is very handy for visiting Bempton Cliffs and also close to Flamborough and Bridlington.
Short stop
Only stayed for one night here on this little site. Nice views from the pitch we liked the lighthouse light flashing in the distance at Flanborough Head. Trains we not a problem even if they are only 100 yards from the back of the site. Very helpful and friendly lady owner. Not much in village but we liked the old photographs on display. Site is on a slope so very difficult to get a flat level spot might be ok for small caravan but not good for motorhomes as all pitches slope 2 or 3 ways even using 2 ramps at max height could not get close to level. Could be difficult to get off in wet weather due to angle of the slope on grass even if there is a short track in the middle. Needs some work doing to bring it up to modern standards felt it is not worth the money.
A very warm welcome at this lovely little CL
Really friendly owners who were very helpful and welcoming. This site is located very well to explore many surrounding resorts and places of interest on the east coast. It was really relaxing and peaceful and had everything needed. Slightly sloping but not a problem with some leveling blocks. We will definitely return, thank you for a very pleasant stay.
Perfect
This is the second time we have stayed on this site and we can only say how lovely it is. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, the site is immaculately kept and very close to some lovely countryside and also convenient for Bridlington and Scarborough by train. The coastline here is very dramatic and we were lucky enough to spot puffins on the Bempton Cliffs. With regard to the previous review concerning the waste disposal facility at this site. We can assure you that we have seen far far worse facilities on other CL sites and this one is far superior to many. A WC sunk into the ground and concreted around is a very usual and more than adequate factor. Care is obviously required when emptying waste containers in any receptacle. Thank you Mr & Mrs Wheeler for a very enjoyable stay - we will return !

Campervan visit July 2015
Well maintained grass pitches with one hardstanding option. Most pitches sloping and levellers needed. Pleasant 1.5 mile walk to RSPB Bempton Cliffs, nearly all on pavement/gravel track beside road. Longer walk on road and footpaths around Flamborough Head. Minimal disturbance from trains as going so slowly. Well supervised by owner who is helpful with local information.

Close to RSPB Reserve
Well kept peaceful site, grass kept short, spacious pitches. Levelling blocks provided if needed. Handy for local train to Scarborough & Brid. Short drive to Bempton RSPB Reserve & Brid.
Lovely peaceful site.
Nice site, well kept grass, slightly sloping but wooden levelling ramps are supplied for each pitch if you don't have one.
Close to the railway but not a problem at all, there are hardly any trains and they are quite small and slow. It is only a single track line. Handy for the station if you want to go to Bridlington or Scarborough without the parking hassle. Check when the last train is though.
We were welcomed on arrival and offered help pitching up. When I want to pay the site fees Mrs. Wheeler was charming and had advice and leaflets about the local area.
Bempton is a lovely village, and the RSPB sanctuary is not far. Handy for Bridlington and Flamborough Head.
Recommended.
Lovely CL
Nice CL with good views covering some distance you can see the light from flambrough head lighthouse when its lit at night. Sloping but each pitch has levelling ramp. It is near the train line but less than 2 trains an hour during the day really don’t cause any problems with noise. The train station is just outside the CL and trains to scarborough and Bridlington. RSPB bempton cliffs where you can see the puffins (depending on time of year) is a couple of miles a pleasant walk or short drive. On arrival the owner came to the caravan with some leaflets on the area (these little touches make all the difference to me, you feel so welcome when they make an effort like this) I will return and would recommend this cl.
