A haven of tranquility and calm

We found this site very easy to locate and it was lovely to see our name on the board and the pitch number we were to pitch up at. I rang the bell to pay our final amount and although the gentleman did not introduce himself he was very pleasant . All pitches have electric and our pitch was lovely which was made even better by the sun and the view from our campervan. Despite it being a CL site there was a bathroom with toilet sink and shower (£1 for shower 6mins, more than long enough for me) clean and tidy, with use it does get grass in but this is to be expected. When we came back from our trips out it was sparkling again. It was nice not having to use our van facilities all the time. There are some lovely bluebell woods nearby (approx. 1/3 mile) for walking the dogs, the road can be busy but not a major problem. We had a lovely walk through to Felbrigg Hall along some of the Weavers Way and public footpaths and a lovely time at Felbrigg and more walking. We retraced our steps and carried on to Cromer, then back to the site. Again if you like walking this is about 3/4 hr walk from the site along public footpaths depending on your walking pace. There is an information hut well supplied with things to do, dogs walks, books, magazines and dvd's The site is sloping and I can imagine it being bad in wet weather but our time there was lovely and would not hesitate in recommending it. If you like peace, quiet, the country side and nature (the pheasant who roams the site is lovely) then this is for you. Booking was easy over the phone and Barbara was very helpful. Oh they also have two static vans for hire too. Thank you for a lovely well kept site.
