We absolutely love this CL ! Has everything you need..great wifi which is free, lovely shower and toilet facilities ( which are always super clean ) and views to die for , fantastic walks which are very dog friendly, peace and quiet , huge spacious hardstandings , most fully serviced .Phil and Anita are both such lovely people and have worked so hard to make this such a wonderful place to stay. We will keep coming here as often as we can ( especially now we have our van in storage) Just the most perfect and prettiest of CL’s
OUR PERFECT CL
This is our perfect type of CL for when we are not touring, for our ‘feet up and relax’ short breaks away. Adult only. Spectacular views (misty when we first arrived but revealed after a few days). Quiet. Level secluded hard-standing pitches. Own tap - such a bonus for our motorhome. Grey water drain on our pitch, on all 5 I think. Free and quick Wi-fi. Good TV reception on our satellite dish. Lovely wildlife pond, bluebells emerging whilst we were there. We use our own facilities so cannot review the shower and toilets but they looked excellent. Didn’t think we would need the washing facilities but discovered our bedding had got damp over winter so the dryer was handy for drying out the pillows. 25 minute walk to White Horse, some of which downhill, so we got a dog friendly taxi back. Friendly and helpful owner. We have re-booked!!

Tranquil site with good access to visit Portsmouth and Chichester
A very peaceful site, hidden away in beautiful countryside and with far-reaching views. Shower and WC facilities are clean and generously sized and it is helpful to have water laid on to the pitch. There are a number of very attractive villages in the Downs nearby. I am likely to return!
A Review from a Hill
I suggest that others considering visiting this wonderful CL completely ignore the ridiculous review before this one. It makes absolutely no sense at all.
Bowhill Farm is a gem.
Bowhill because it's barely a mile or two from Europe's largest remaining yew forest, a wood from which many long bows were made centuries ago.
It's in the middle of The Octagon Parish in which there are the most astonishingly primitive and beautiful early churches to visit.
The view from the hill is right over to the sea and Portsmouth shines like a fantasy city on the night skyline.
There is no shortage of excellent pubs, many within easy walking distance and if you fancy a walk around an historic town, then glorious Chichester is on your doorstep with it's intact city walls and astonishing Cathedral.
And at the end of the day, if you ever left, retreating back to the hill is a complete delight where the only sound is birdsong.

Spring break
Overall we thought this a very clean site and helpful owners. The friendliness of the owners didn't match the 42 rules in the site facilities most of which do not appear on the website. Arrival we had found difficult as no sign from main road to side road, and then only tiny sign to site from side road. Even after driving up the concreted road it’s not obvious where to go.
It is a very quiet adult only stay, and for us almost too quiet, you get what it says. There is free WiFi but a rule not to over use. Poor Vodafone reception.
Our biggest disappointment was that for what we considered an expensive CL there were no washing up facilities, and perhaps a chance to buy basics of bread or milk helpful.
The views out are lovely but it’s not a pretty site. The hardstandings are big and site not overcrowded, it is tiered down a hillside to help with views . Our tv never tuned in but we couldn’t be sure if that was our problem and we never asked.
In many ways we are nitpicking but they are the things that irritate eventually.

The perfect CL for adults
My wife and I, with our two Cairn terriers, stayed here for 5 days last May. It was our first visit to the area and the CL. It is a wonderfully quiet and peaceful location with far reaching views towards Portsmouth over beautiful countryside. There are sufficient facilities for a comfortable stay with showers, loos, washer and tumble dryer, etc. The pitches are spacious and terraced, so it feels open with plenty of room for awning and car etc.
It's about a 20 minute drive to Chichester with the nearest shop about a 10 minute drive. Nearby walks are plentiful and vary from open fields to woodland with deer and other wildlife. A truly lovely site with friendly owners who are happy to leave you to enjoy the place with little intrusion.
We will certainly be going back.
Worth the extra
While expensive everything works well and is of a high standard. The price includes an excellent high speed wifi which, for me, makes the holiday that much more pleasurable as I have to keep in contact with my business. The site is very secure and well placed. The approach is straight forward but benefits from a google map walk prior to a first visit.
A gem of a site.
Perfectly situated with outstanding views of the local countryside.
Thanks again for an amazing stay, made only better by the best weather we've had in the five years of visiting.
Please keep the website updated with pictures of the new family member.
Thanks to the junior member of staff for her accompanied visit.

Highly recommended
All the positives that the other reviews mention, plus the fabulous duck eggs from the farm made an incredible scrambled egg breakfast!
Thoroughly recommend a stay here.......stunning.
A good find!
A beautiful site with stunning views of the countryside and rolling meadows in such peaceful surroundings. Chichester is very close by and easy access to lots of other places of interest. Pitches are very generous and the facilities were immaculate. We will definitely return again to this site again.
