Peace and Quiet

Visited post-Covid lockdown in July/August 2020 This is a very quiet site, easily accessed off the old main road through Wendling and Scarning. The field is large with many different species of trees. Handy for shops and services in Dereham, but nowhere nearby to eat. Sadly the grass didn't appear to have been cut for some time and was rather long. There was nobody to welcome us on arrival and throughout our stay we saw nobody in charge of the site. Despite being there for seven nights, there was no-one..... When it came to departure, we went to the house which we presumed belonged to the site and found envelopes in which we were expected to place money - but no indication of the cost. We put in what we thought was sufficient cash to cover the stay with a note asking to be informed if the amount was insufficient. Still nobody had contacted us four days after our return, so we probably paid too much. This is a lovely, peaceful site which is rather let down by the apparent indifference of the owners.

we spent 8 days onthe site about a week before Le Maniac and found to site owners to be extreamly helpful. Clearly many owners work  and are not often at home all day. Re how much to pay do you not check the fees when booking or if not pay what it states in the book. It is a great site which sadly appeared underused and is very resonably priced. Ok so its not right on the coast or within walking distance of norwich but the are many picturesque villages to drive through on the way .
