First visit to a pub CL

Just back from a five night stay. The CL is lovely, though we aren't fond of gravel pitches but our pitch was nicely situated on the only corner (pitch 2), which gave us loads of privacy and a quiet place to sit the dogs out. The toilets and shower are in the pub and are immaculately clean. You get a 'zapper' which gives you access to the toilets/shower even when the pub is closed. Do be aware though, that the pub only opens part time - and not 'til 7pm on the weekdays that it does open. (Closed Mon - and I believe no food Tuesdays) At weekends, opens for lunch time and evening hours on Sat and all day Sunday. So, if, like us, you are holidaying during the week and had plans for lazy pub lunches followed by lazy afternoons sampling the pub's brewed on site beers, you are going to be disappointed. The pub is lovely and, when we did get chance to sample the beers on the Sunday, they are worth the wait. John will sell beers in a four pint take out container for you to enjoy in your 'van, though we didn't take advantage of that. Being so very flat, this part of Lincolnshire can also be very windy, which can affect the awning situation. We found our pitch to be very level and didn't have any difficulty pitching up and levelling the 'van. We visited several local places during the day and found access in and out of the site very easy. The site is well maintained and has everything you need, is easily accessible, there is even wheelchair access if you should need it. I think the fact that the site is owned and run by actual campervanners means they understand what caavanners/campervanners need. There are two over night stop spaces for campervans and all facilities are available for them too. All in all, a well kept, maintained and run site.
