This is our idea of heaven, a farmers field with nothing but the sound of birds and a wonderful view. We didn’t see the owner but saw the mum and paid her as they were busy sheep shearing. We had a great 3 day stay and a hard 9 mile walk from the site, but unfortunately it rained the Saturday and Sunday. We didn’t get stuck so that was a bonus with the weather we have had this year. We will definitely be back on a yearly basis. Water on site along with black waste and refuse, however we always take ours home with us when staying for a weekend so didn’t look at those facilities. Ground is slightly sloping, but we had no issue in a motorhome levelling up, very slight noise from road it didn’t disturb us and can’t say that it would be an issue to anyone as you are far enough away from it. Site easy to find just go through the no through Road and it’s on your right. The farm to pay is further down.
Nice off grid site
Just a field off a small lane, quite long grass when we were there. Great access to pen y fan walks. A bit of a trek into beautiful Brecon. For a couple of nights this is a perfect spot.

Laid back stay
As per other reviewers, Heather very welcoming. Site easy to find, thanks to previous reviewer for final details, it was useful. One big field, can park anywhere in any direction to suit. Good walks from site, close to Pen y Fan. Basic but clean & quiet.
Beautiful Location
13.11.21 We have just returned from a stunning weekend at Blaenglyn. Heather is most welcoming and the site is easy to find. Just keep going straight along the road (there is a no access to waterfalls sign but keep going) site is on your right with a black water tank in the middle of the field. It is so well placed for walks all around Pen-y-Fan. We didn't need to drive anywhere for the two days that we were parked. You can walk along the road to your right which takes you directly onto the Taff Trail and to the Story Car Park at the bottom of the well made path to the top of Pen-Y-Fan. Or you can take the road to your left take the first right and take a different route up to the lake and the top of Pen-Y-Fan, if you're feeling energetic. There are stunning views on this climb but it is steeper. We did a circular route taking the left road walked up Pen-Y-Fan and down to the Story Car Park back along the Taff Trail. It is a good 4 and half hours of hard walking but worth it. Loads of other walks but that was enough for us! Not surprisingly the grass was quite soggy at this time of year so we did take ply wooden planks to sit our wheels on and parked as close to the road as we could. This worked a treat and we had no problems getting off the field. (The road is only used by the few people living down there as it is a dead end, so no noise issues). We loved this site and would highly recommend, you really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. We hope to be back!
Don't hesitate
11.9.21 for 3 nights (£8.00 a night all in) in this gem of a site. Entrance is opposite the A4215 & you'll see signs for 'No Waterfalls'. Once in the lane over the stone bridge and straight on where the road takes a sharp left at the white cottage, and you'll soon be on the tarmac with the field site to your right.Water tap in field & soon to come at chemical toilet disposal point. No EHU & poor mobile reception on three major networks but that's the charm. Heather most helpful & accommodating. I enjoyed learning about the sheep farming. What a great location on The Taff Trail to walk along to the car park at base of Pen-y-Fan, using this 'easier' route to simply stunning views from the top. Walk the other way (not arduous) to enjoy the walk into Brecon. T4 bus near Morrisons can get you back if you wish. Royal Welsh Museum with Zulu wars memorabilia is packed with history. Pub The Bull, was shut due to a Covid outbreak but was back in action the day I left, its about 30 mins walk away. I found no local shops in Libanus. Boots if grass is wet & blocks as undulates. Although a night of rain it seems to drain well. Great spot as a base. Didn't want to go back home & to work.
Beautiful!!
Heather was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The site was ideally situated for walking up Pen y Fan, which we did one of the days we were there. Very peaceful and beautiful place.
Beautiful off grid site
A lovely undulating field with tap and CP point. Stunning views, levellers are required. Phone and data reception is poor as would be expected. Lots of walks nearby, and there is the T4 bus route nearby to Brecon and Pen Y Fan.The owner is very friendly and helpful and price makes for excellent value. Great off grid site.
Lovely off grid camping
This site is beautiful if you enjoy off grid camping surrounded by nature and stunning mountain views. The site is a field next to a farm track. There is masses of room and the field is fairly level. We managed without levellers. The drinking water tap has been recently moved to the centre of the field and is easily accessed. There are toilet emptying facilities on edge of field but you do need to take bottles of water to swill out but this was not a problem. The family who own the site are really helpful and friendly. There is an A road running parallel to the field higher up the valley side but we did not find this intrusive and it offers good access to the site and other areas. There is lovely walking from the site including a nearby path up Pen Y Fan. I would go again.
What a Gem of a place
Let me start by saying what a beautiful spot on a farm between mountains
Nice big field, niceley maintained
You made needs blocks in places but we were ok
great walks from site, and good position to explore from
I think by far the cheapest site we've used £7 a night #winner
No EHU but no problem for us as we have solar
Chemical disposal and water tap
Very friendly owners
Picture does not do it justice, look at @basilthecampervan on instagram there are some pics and drone shots on there to give you an idea of the beauty of this site
Great place from which to walk or cycle
CL is a large unfenced field beside a farm road. Super views. Water easily available from a roadside tap as you approach the CL. Superb walks direct from the campsite. Friendly owner who gave us some excellent suggestions on walks.
