We arrived for the first May Bank holiday, booking was easily done online. Site is easy to find following the owners directions. Site tidy and well cared for, bin and CDP also clean and tidy. 2 hardstanding pitches which were level and rest on grass, all well spaced out. Metered electric and we were well within our limits for useage. Nice that they stick to the 5 van rule and don't try to overfill the site because its a BH weekend. Very peaceful and a lovely feel to the site and we will return as love the area.
Beautiful site
We had a lovely 3 night stay on this delightful CL. No faults to find.
Magnificent views, friendly owner, basic facilities, but very nicely done.
The hideaway is very special and I can imagine it’s a great place to spend time in nice weather.
Excellent access for Shrewsbury and all nearby attractions.
Our 2 dogs loved it too!
Would love to return.
Where were the Hosts :-)
We booked for a three-night stay from Monday the 4th of March,
When we arrived we were the only ones there for the whole duration and we never saw the hosts the whole time we were there. I emailed Jo and Guy to say we'd arrived and pitched up and they replied 'Welcome we'll pop and see you tomorrow when the weather is a little more settled. I found this a little strange and when I hadn't seen anyone at all for the whole time we were there, I thought for a second we'd come to the wrong place.
Anyway, the site is nice, the approach is a little tight and very bumpy so be careful when entering from the road. the views are fantastic and the site is peaceful. We were just Disappointed that the hosts never bothered to greet us even though they said they would,

Wow wow wow, a true gem of a place.
There aren't any words that can describe this CL that do it justice. Views are breathtaking, and the pitches are level and positioned to make the most of the views. The hideaway is a little gem and we will be back when it's a bit warmer to take full advantage.
We took the stroll downhill and caught the bus into Shrewsbury where we enjoyed a few hours exploring and caught a taxi back to the site all adding to our amazing short break.
We didn't meet Jo but Guy was extremely helpful and friendly especially when we got stuck on the grass.
Overall we were so impressed that we have booked to go to the Van love fest in July and will be back throughout the year to experience this CL through the seasons.
Brilliant, chilled site
What a wonderful little site. Guy and Jo are both very welcoming and would stay and chat all day long! We can't forget Willow, their lovely, friendly Shiatsu who is also very sociable and quickly made herself at home in our caravan! She is a real little character.
We would definitely recommend this site for either a short stopover or longer. We stayed for a week and there were so many nice walks around the site. The views from the site are amazing and Guy and Jo have lots of recommendations for walks, places to eat and things to do. Just a short bus ride to Shrewsbury on the Park and Ride which is a beautiful town.
The "hideaway" is a lovely touch which I am sure will be well used when the weather is good. Can't wait to come back and explore a bit more. Would thoroughly recommend.
Thanks Guy and Jo for a lovely week and making us feel so welcome.
Total relaxation with fantastic views.
We stayed at Betley Park from the 8th to the 10th of September on a blistering hot weekend of weather. Guy and Jo who own the site are lovely, friendly people and took time out for a chat. The site is amazing with great views overlooking The Wrekin and Long Mynd and the bbq and bar area are a nice touch. A short walk from the site is Lyth Hill, which is well worth a visit. We had a very chilled weekend and will definitely be back.

Outstanding views.
My wife and I stayed at Betley Park for 3 nights. Our hard standing had the most beautiful view of the countryside below the site and several of the Shropshire hills. Hosts Guy and Jo have created a wonderful gem of a CL with it’s own ‘hideaway,’ an area for member’s to use to cook, play darts or just sit and relax and chat to fellow visitors. There are so many walks directly from the site, with stunning views and places of interest just a short drive or a bus ride away. Guy and Jo are a warm and welcoming couple, eager to please and share their surroundings, effectively their back garden, to ensure you enjoy a stay at Betley with its outstanding views. We will be returning soon. Ps, please don’t pass the word, we don’t want anyone to know about this superb CL!
Straight to the top 5 list of CL's
Just got back from Betley Park and what a gem it is! Plenty of space and views to die for. A short walk down the hill takes you to the No.27 bus service which takes you all the way into the town and this moment its a fixed fee of £2 per person for the ride. £10 for a taxi back after the bus service has finished btw.
Jo and Guy are a lovely couple and van owners themselves and know what works and what doesnt.
I would have given this site 5 stars all round but there was only one water supply where other sites have them on each pitch, but its a small price to pay for the location you get.
We will be back for future visits as we love Shrewsbury with all it has to offer

Super new CL, highly recommended
What a lovely new CL. Has only been open a few weeks but is sure to become a favourite. A very warm welcome from Guy and Jo who made us feel really at home. We had the site to ourselves so were able to park our caravan at the best angle to enjoy the stunning views (and get the van level on the somewhat lumpy and sloping grass pitches). The site is perfectly places for walking - don't miss Lyth Hill Countryside Park just up the road, lovely countryside and views. Shrewsbury itself is a fascinating town with too much history to take in on our short visit, so we'll have to go back soon - and to see how Guy and Jo have developed the site, as they have exciting plans to improve the cute little bar area and add amenities.
Access is narrow but OK, but drive slowly as you approach otherwise you may overshoot the entrance (as we did).
Just fabulous
Well, what can I say. My first experience with a CL has certainly set the bar. A quite location with stunning views. Hosted by Guy and Jo who were lovely. So helpful and accommodating. A very short drive into the main town where there is plenty to see and do. Highly recommended. This has totally changed how I will think about booking future trips. CLs rule!! I will definitely be back to explore more. Andy.
