Lovely CL with great view

Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay here. Beautiful location with fantastic views (weather dependent!), good facilities and lovely owners - friendly and helpful, interesting to chat to. Village with pub an easy 20 minute walk. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Tranquil site in a lovely setting

Just stunning. Just got home from 2 nights at this lovely CL. Great facilities with 2 separate toilets, one with an electric shower (£1-50 with an honesty box) Had washing & dish washing facilities. Grey water & an Elson point as well as electric hook up. Quiet site on a working farm and self service when you arrive so choose your own pitch. Caught up with Paul the owner later on to pay him. Good value for £16 per night. Farm eggs were available. Lovely countryside views and woke up to bird song. Pitches were sloping so needed our ramps. Nice stroll to the beautiful village of Broadhembury down the lanes. We enjoyed beer in the garden but didn’t eat at the pub. Fabulous walk up to hembury fort within 20 minutes if you don’t mind uphill and a small section of road. Worth it when you get there for stunning views and forest walks. Dog friendly. Will definitely recommend & return.

Just so quiet

Just returned from a three night stay in this fabulous location. Beautifully kept site with excellent facilities although we didn’t need to use the shower and toilets ourselves. Lorna is a charming host and so brilliant to have a CL that will take cards. Very straightforward journey, although as often with farm sites, a bit narrow access roads but with very few other vehicles, not a problem. The meal at the Drewe Arms last night was exceptional and not overly priced. Broadhembury village is very picturesque with an excellent and friendly shop and post office. Thank you very much for a lovely break.

What a find!

We stayed one night in April, very quiet mid week, lovely views across the hills and we were able to watch a hot air balloon float across the site. Very clean well organised site , with very cheerful and happy owners who are clearly organised. The walk into Broadhembury is a must as it is a most pretty village, and unlike where we live ( Cornwall) still lived in by people all year round we didn't spot a holiday home at all! The Drewe Arms is a lovely 16th century pub with great service and beer will come to this site again, well done to the Isaac family.

Beautiful quiet site

We recently stayed at this lovely hidden away site for two nights. Would happily have stayed longer. We had a super pitch looking out over the fields and had two glorious sunsets whilst there. The lovely owners allowed us to exercise our dog in their fields which, for the early & late walks were fantastic as our dog is a nervous rescue who relishes a good run but is anxious around other dogs. There are some good circular walks in the area which we also managed & a particularly good village pub which is dog friendly. We had a delicious Sunday lunch there but it does get very busy! The village is incredibly pretty & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Close to one of the most picturesque villages in Devon

Beer Farm is within easy walking distance of one of the most beautiful villages in Devon, Broadhembury. There are also plenty of other walks and the site is about 3 miles from Honiton. In addition to the normal CL facilities this site has the added advantage of on-site toilets, a shower and washing and drying facilities. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful and the site has some great views. Access can be a bit tight for very large motorhomes (american style) and big caravans but while we were there a member with a US style 5th wheel trailer managed to get in and out so anything is possible.

What a fantastic find

Amazing views and so peaceful. Managed to meet there with friends in their motorhome. Only two of us there. Owner made us very welcome and when she saw us sitting out in the cold and dark (only 2 degrees above freezing) she came out with a fire pit. Next thing we knew she was out in the dark chopping logs for us. Next day she asked if we wanted more logs for the following night but had plenty. Great walks around the fields and footpath for the dogs albeit a bit muddy. So peaceful at night. Didn’t get into the village but when driving through looked very quaint. Good value as had laundry and showers but we didn’t need to use them. Will be back

Just what the doctor ordered

Beautiful site on a working farm. We had a hard standing pitch which was level and with a great view across surrounding countryside. Plenty of room between pitches and friendly owners who were available if needed but left you to it. Well organised site which encourages recycling even providing food waste bins for your stay. Two separate toilets, one with shower, which was great. Also provided washing machine and separate tumble dryer if needed at a nominal cost. Great for dog walking along quiet country lanes including the lane at the back of the site. It’s a great example of a rural CL and we would definitely return again. The only slight negative is the shower is showing signs of age but other than that I would definitely recommend.

Just what the Doctor Ordered!

A beautiful site on a working farm. Access roads narrow but follow directions and you'll be fine. Great level pitch for my motorhome and very easy fresh water fill. Lots of recycling boxes. And 2 WCs, a shower (£1 in honesty box) and washing machine and tumble dryer. Amazing views to West and South. Most welcoming landlady who even found us a couple of eggs for breakfast (yes I'd forgotten). The icing on the cake was that prices LOWER than in the book and only £14 including electricity. Highly recommended.

What a great find!

A lovely CL site with spacious pitches and fabulous views and absolutely amazing sunsets. The space between pitches allowed for good distancing with other caravanners - especially important at present! When booking the site I had not realised that there was a shower and a toilet which even during the current difficult times this was in use and kept clean for all. Great location for visiting nearby Sidmouth a beautiful traditional seaside. Friendly owner. The access to the site following the instructions in the book are clear but the roads are quite narrow. There is access also from the main road (if you have an OS map) but it is a single track road and rather narrow but 'do able'. We spent 2 nights here in August 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if in the area :-)
