Superb CL

This is a real gem of a CL with standards that would match any Club site. The toilets and shower were always clean and kept to a high standard. The owners are very friendly and helpful and richly deserve praise for their CL. The views are lovely and it is an ideal place to use as a base to visit the surrounding area. Also just down the road is found the Red Kite feeding centre which is well worth a visit. The CL is located on the edge of the village and a five minute walk will take you into the centre of the village where there are two pubs (a third is opening in June). The pub we visited didn't do food but the beer was good! (Gower bitter). But if you want pub food, try the Goose and Cuckoo pub across the road. Locals said the Sunday lunch is superb but alas, when we tried to book on the Saturday, it was fully booked so book early! Instead we booked Sunday lunch at the little café found near the railway crossing on the outskirts of the village. Very nice food (we had wild boar with roasties and veg) and the bill won't leave you gasping for air! To reach the CL, we travelled via the A470 to Brecon then onto the A40 to Llandovery. Then we took the A4069 to Llangadog. This route takes you to the outskirts of the village where the CL is located. I do not recommend staying on the A40 past Llandovery as this route will take you to the opposite end of the village. The streets and corners in the village are narrow plus parked cars on both sides, making for a stressful drive through the village! (you also have tractors with trailers going through the village).
