Pretty site
Barff Farm is a very pretty site approached down a long drive so quiet and peaceful with no traffic noise. Level, beautifully mown and immaculately tidy. We received a warm welcome by Michelle and had our choice of pitches as we were the only ones, nice for us but the site is a good size with plenty of space for awnings etc. we only had 3 nights here as a stopover on our way home from Yorkshire so didn’t really have enough time to explore the area properly. Visiting Lincoln is easy by car, 4 hours free parking at a large Waitrose just outside Lincoln where you can then catch the bus into the city. Alternatively I believe you can catch a train from the village. Lincoln is a delightful city with a beautiful cathedral where even your dog is made welcome! We couldn’t visit the castle as we had our dog with us but they do have dog friendly days.
There are numerous walks from the site but we only managed a couple of short ones purely to exercise doggie and encountered hares. I imagine springtime must be a very special time to visit if you enjoy bird life. I would not hesitate to return to this lovely site and highly recommend.
