Just had 2 nights at this gorgeous CL - the owners Janet and Robert are very welcoming, friendly and informative. The farm is easy to find, pitches are individual and gravelled, and a good size with fantastic views of Pendle Hill. The owners allow you to walk on their land and it's a lovely circular 30 min walk down to the river and around the Farm with our dog. The spread eagle is a 15 minute walk on the river with lots of other pubs within easy walking distance. We walked a 2half hour walk with our dog, along the river, to Clitheroe which has a bit of everything. The Bowland Brewery Bar is well worth a visit though . Got the bus back . There are also loads of other walks around the area from the site . £18 a night with electric ( as opposed to main sites now being £40 - £50 ) CLs are the way way forward and this is definitely one we will return to .
