Stayed here recently for 2 nights. What a gem, so well placed close to the Forest of Bowland and overlooking Pendle Hill. Electric hook up and hard standing with views over fields and the River Ribble. Sawley Abbey a 10 minute walk away and a great pub called the Spread Eagle. We cycled locally, don't miss the village of Slaidburn - wonderful. Holden Clough Nursery is very close, another gem. Great honesty box system at the gate with eggs, veg etc. Great stop over for us on our way to the Lakes. Thank you Janet.
A Little Gem
We've just spent 2 wonderful days/nights on this great little site. Wonderful views greet you once you've navigated through the farm yard which was slightly tight for us but it's worth it. EHU and hardstanding pitches along with a Honesty Box with fresh eggs, jams and delicious homemade cakes. Visited Holden Clough Nursery just up the road which is definitely worth a visit, as is the Spread Eagle pub. Perfect for walking and visiting the beautiful villages nearby. We'll definitely be returning.
Lovely site...
This was a great find. We stayed for three nights in this beautiful location with great views.
Very helpful and lovely owners. Sawley is a short walk away. Would highly recommend.
Great stay, Covid-19 safe and friendly.
We stayed 1 night, second pitch nice and level, no need to ramp. Great views, really friendly owners. There's hookup now. Lots of great walking, pub 10 - 15 minutes walk away.
Everything a Cleaner should be.
Thanks, we will be coming back!

An outstanding view
The moment we turned into the final approach to this site we knew that were arriving somewhere special. This is one of the best views we have seen to date in 3 months of full time touring around England.
The owners Jean and her son Robert were both on hand to help us water up and settle in to our pitch and offer advice on the local village of Sawley.
It is an easy walk to Sawley which includes an excellent pub and the English heritage managed site of the former Sawley Abbey.
While there is no hook up or loo on this site for £7 per night we felt it was amazing value.
The 5 pitches all have an interrupted view of Pendle Hill. Atmospheric and breathtaking.

Just Us
Just returned from 3 nights at this site. Perfect for people wanting to get back to basics. The views of Pendle Hill are stunning, the welcome and attention from the owners fantastic.
Grandson Harry (3) stayed for one night and was allowed to see the pet lambs and inspect the tractors.
No electric no noise except for sheep and hens and Hardstanding pitches.
What more do you want?
Peaceful site with great views
Stayed here for 2 nights. Nice peaceful site with great views. Our dog enjoyed watching the hens with their chicks. Great area for exploring and walking. The Eagle in Sawley only 15 mins walk away. Food and beer good.
WOW
We have just spent 6 nights at this site . With the most fabulous view of Pendle Hill we didn't require much else . Peace and quiet with good walks around. Mrs Bolton the owner is a lovely friendly lady and has good knowledge of the area. We will be back.
Just wonderful
What lovely people and what a beautiful location. Quiet with beautiful views. Having the chickens and sheep around the van a delight.
We have just had three wonderful nights there and will return without question.
We have bought back half a dozen of Jack Boltons famous free range eggs and so looking forward to breakfast in the morning.
You are missing out not staying here, no question.
