If you want all the bells and whistles or a children’s play area, or even shops/pubs in walking distance this is not for you. If however you want peace & quiet with a good open aspect, then book in here! All grass, slightly sloping in one direction so siting facing or back to the fence, it’s easy to level. Arriving at the end of a very wet winter & spring, Denise advised us to pitch at the higher end although the whole area seemed to have drained well. Anyone wishing for a break during the school holidays, without children then Denise told us the summer holidays is quiet on the CL so this could be for you. Whilst it appears to be ‘in the middle of nowhere’ it’s only 10 mins drive to Northallerton which has most of what anyone may require. For a meal out, I can recommend the Dog & Gun at Knayton - 15 mins drive at most - excellent food & service! At the end of a no through lane, there’s no passing traffic and very little farm traffic either. Whilst not far from RAF Leeming, we only had planes above on one day. An ideal break to relax!
