Yet Another Amazing Stay

We have returned for our second year and just booked our third year-that should say it all. This is an amazing site. Extremely well maintained, easy access. Best chemical waste point that we’ve seen on any CL. Private, peaceful, well designed. Alastair is a pleasure to speak to and deal with-nothing is too much bother. The location is brilliant for walks to various pubs - highly recommend The Royal Oak at Perranwell and The Old Quay at Deveron for superb food and atmosphere. We walked the cycle trail from Bissoe to Portreath and we walked to The Pandora Inn near Mylor Bridge -both all day walks from site. There are also lots and of shorter walks from site using the lanes and by-ways. We took the kayak onto the Restronguet river at Deveron and had a fantastic afternoon. This CL is probably the best we’ve ever stayed on and we can’t recommend it high enough. We go home tomorrow but will return next year to continue the adventure. There is so much you can access from this site. Thank you Badgers Folly for yet another fantastic holiday. See you next year!

Absolute peach of a site

We have just departed after a wonderful 6 night stay at this site. The pitches are spacious with your own picnic table. Grass is well kept. Excellent water pressure, clean and tidy recycling area, and one of the smartest Elsan points ever.. Easy to enter and leave and you can hear the lovely stream. Plenty to do around the area, site is very central for days out. This a wonderful CL site and we will return and experience more of the area. £20 with EHU.

Pitch Perfect

Just returned home after a 3 night stay on this wonderful site. I only wish it could have been longer! The directions and information that had been emailed to us when we booked were excellent. The site itself is beautifully kept, with large pitches, all with EHU and a picnic table each. There are plenty of water points and the elsan point and grey waste disposal kept immaculately clean. The grass was well cut and the sound of the babbling brook which runs along one side was delightful. Not long after arrival ,the friendly and welcoming owner Alastair ,came over to see if we were ok. We have a dog and he encouraged us to let him run in the secure paddock. It is very well situated for many attractions and places in Cornwall. We would recommend Healys Cider and Gweek Seal Sanctuary in particular. One, if not the best CL we have stayed on. Thank you.

Amazing, Best Ever CL

This site is fantastic-so fantastic, that I’ve just returned from staying there and have already booked to go again next year. If you want peace and tranquility, amongst wild flowers, set against a bubbling stream this is for you l. It is beautifully maintained-chemical waste point and bins are spotless. Grass is kept short and tidy. Water point is to hand and clean and tidy. The owners are amazing. All communications are prompt and friendly before visiting and when you do visit, they come and say hello and nothing is too much bother. Badgers Folky is fantastically situated for visiting both north and south coasts and there is so much to see and do. I can’t wait to return (in fact I’m wondering if I can squeeze in another visit this year)! Can’t rate it high enough!

Excellent site highly recommend

We have just come come back from a week's stay at this wonderful site with our dog. The pitches are large with your own picnic table. Good water pressure, dog walking facilities on site and level ground. Easy to enter and leave and you can hear the lovely stream behind, which you can sit by if you wish. Alistair and Sarah are very welcoming and helpful with information, if you need it! Loads to do around the area. We went cycling and did beach visits. Cafe, shops and pubs all nearby. The site is very central for days out too. This a wonderful CL site and we will be back! Joe and Sharon 20.05.2023

Fantastic

We stayed here 14-23 June. A really lovely, well-kept CL with enormous pitches, and each with a picnic bench. The additional garden area by the stream, with hammock and seating, is an oasis of calm! All facilities were very clean and well kept. A gem of a place! We'll be back!

Pitch Perfect!!!!

Stayed at Badgers Folly for 5 nights for our Anniversary. Perfect site, what a little gem!!! Level and very large pitches, with your own picnic bench!!(bonus). Large enclosed dog exercise paddock, which our girls enjoyed. Easy access to recycling and waste disposal. All in all well laid out. Lots of amazing walks from site including a beautiful walk in the Bissoe Valley nature reserve. The owners, Alastair and Sarah were very friendly and welcoming, and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. We would definitely recommend this site, it is a hidden gem and perfect for chilling out and recharging your batteries. Absolutely perfect. We will definitely be returning. Trish & David, Dory & Enid. Xx🐾xX Thanks Alastair and Sarah xx

Highly rated

The owners sent us an email with our pitch number and a list of local amenities. Communication throughout was very good. They are very welcoming and the site is immaculate. They have even placed new picnic tables on each pitch. The stream is behind us over a little stone wall and is lovely to listen to. There is plenty of dog walking routes off site and the ablution points are clean and all new. The owners deserve the very best in life as they have put so much effort into the cl and continue to do so. The site sits in a little valley which looks out onto steep escarpments in places however the journey to the site was easy and well described in the welcoming email. What gem of a site! Thank-you, A. Lovely well kept site

This CL is very well kept with spacious level emplacements on grass that is beautifully managed. Sarah and Alastair are very welcoming hosts and very helpful. In terms of location, it’s perfect tor accessing both the north and south coasts, but you do need a car. The cycle trail that is accessed nearby between Portreath and Devoran was a great day out on our bikes. Eight miles to Portreath on generally flat tracks. A swim in the sea before retuning to the tranquility of the lovely site. We will return. Highly recommended.
